24.01.2022 Dear Families Just a note to remind you that the Government has announced that there are now only four reasons to leave home: To shop for food and essential goods or services.... To provide care, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment. To exercise. For work or study, if you cant do it from home. You are also now required to wear masks outside of the house. In order to protect the health of everyone, we ask that you please call the school before entering through the front doors. Please ensure that you are wearing a mask. All staff will now be wearing a mask unless they are directly teaching children. If parents have any issues during remote learning please ensure that you contact your childs teacher. If you require Vietnamese assistance please ask to speak to our staff members Paola Ly or Mai Ly. 22.01.2022 We are now taking Prep enrolments for 2021 for any child who will be turning 5 years of age by April 30, 2021. Please share this post with as many people who you know that have Prep aged children for 2021 and reside in our community.

22.01.2022 This is the number of Junior students that were present at school learning today. We have seen an increase in attendance from yesterday. Its been a challenge for all of us shifting back to early mornings and travelling in the cold but school is where all our Junior students should be each day. Well done to our community for adapting to onsite learning with such ease.

21.01.2022 I am excited to announce that as of Term 2, Ardeer South Primary School will have a Before and After School Care Program called - SchoolsOUT! Not only will it offer care from 6:30am in the morning, and until 6:30pm in the evening - we will also be providing a holiday program in between school terms. How exciting! Stuart - Principal

14.01.2022 Dear Ardeer South Primary School Community I am wanting to let you know that one of our lovely students - Obed - has been injured in a nasty motor vehicle accident whilst on family holiday in Tonga. The accident left Obed with injuries that required him to be transported to New Zealand. Unfortunately, this incident has left Obed seriously injured and as a result has had a leg amputated due to significant blood loss and infection. He is currently in a stable condition in hospi...tal. This incident has also seen this impact on the family significantly in terms of finances. As a result there is a Go Fund Me page set up to support the raising of money to cover the costs incurred for medivac. If you would like to contribute a donation to this cause, the link is - https://www.gofundme.com/f/opeti-mahina When school resumes, we will look to raise further funds for the family through a fund rasing event, more information on this will come in the school term. Whilst I am not able to provide any further details at this point, I felt it was important to bring this to the attention of our school community so that we can look after Obed as best as we possibly can. 13.01.2022 What an incredible start to Remote & Flexible Learning. There has been great feedback, many positives and lots of beautiful smiles from our WebEx students online. 11.01.2022 The next BIG thing in kids reading has been released this week. From the author of Harry Potter; JK Rowling is releasing a NEW book called The Ickabog. This will be a FREE online book that I am sure will the next worldwide craze! There will be a chapter released each day for kids. There is also some illustration competition within the website. 11.01.2022 Winter is here and so is Winter weather! Drop off and pick up may require a little more patience in this weather. The zones and details all still exist - we will ensure warm and comfy classrooms to dry out any wet children and teachers. 04.01.2022 Thank you to those families who have spoken to me about the working bee on Saturday. It looks like the weather will be great and well be able to get the school looking fantastic. As we do not have a lot of tools and equipment, we request that you bring along items that you have that may support work that is required. Shovels, wheelbarrows, gloves, blowers, ear muffs, protective glasses etc,may be useful. So that youre aware of tasks that we would like to achieve on Satu...rday, please check out the photos in this Facebook Post - if there are tasks listed below that you would like to do, please bring a long equipment to support that work. Alternatively, you may use what tools/resources we have at school. Please remember that school council will be providing a BBQ for you at the end of the working bee. Kids are welcome to come along, but must be supervised by parents. See more

03.01.2022 Today during National Simultaneous Storytime, Mr Telford read the story Whitney and Britney the Chicken Divas to the Foundation students. Who knew Mr Telford could act? The students had a very enjoyable experience.

03.01.2022 Our Before and After School Care Program run by SchoolsOUT continues to operate every morning (from 6:30am) and every afternoon (til 6:30pm). Bookings for this program are essential. If you are wanting to enroll your child into this program; please call 0448667747 for more details - or use their website to create a booking - www.schoolsout.net.au It is great to see such a structured and caring program in our school. Students attending love it! Parent feedback has been amazing.

02.01.2022 I just wanted to share the overwhelming generosity offered by Sunshine Bunnings. When some inquires were being made about purchasing equipment for this weekends working bee, we were provided with a range of donations to support the school. This includes a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel, gloves, pruners, fertilizer, pots, plus loads more. Massive thank you to Rose at Bunnings. Also thank you to Michelle for making this happen.
