25.01.2022 Safe to say we are all a bit smitten with the new fella. Sunny - Summer Tycoon

25.01.2022 Well today sees our two trainees finish their traineeship after completing their cert 3 advanced stablehand. Emerson and Milla have been wonderful to have the past year and a half and we wish them well on their next chapter. I know the girls have big plans for 2021 that are already in motion and their determination will see them excel for next year and every year after. Goodluck girls but I'm sure we will be seeing plenty of you And a thank you as well for the awesome photo of us

25.01.2022 How do you ensure yourself a warm box and two feeds a day...... buddy up with a racehorse who wouldn't eat until you were beside him 24/7

24.01.2022 When being a small stable means you get to put that little extra time and love into your horses. Stablehand Maddie gives our new lad Sunny some Saturday afternoon love

24.01.2022 Great bordem cures

24.01.2022 When you spot your new 3 year old flat in the paddock not moving. Decide you better go make sure he's only sleeping, actually had to wake him up and then he was up for a cuddle. Sunny lapping up a bit of sunshine

23.01.2022 Banksys Sunday swim. Star coming back from her Sunday swim.

23.01.2022 Wade and Bonny getting some track education for their trainer, first time around the track this morning with the track pads on and both went super

23.01.2022 Joey - Arizona Drifter ran a huge race over 2200m at Hamilton today. Jumping out to take the lead and ran the whole way out the front just peaking on his run but still holding on for 4th. Good boy Joe

23.01.2022 Looking great, can't wait to get a saddle back on this boy

23.01.2022 Breaking in Competitive rates, no 4 weeks in and out, every horse broken as an individual, no set process every horse must conform to, shod, walked through the gates, around a track, arena work, road work. A good start is incredibly important and we feel we offer horses a valuable beginning to their racing career.

22.01.2022 When a 15 hour working day starts with all the horses working super in 4s. Very lucky to have crystal in helping us all out this morning, saved me once again helping the team get 21 horses worked around the track before the farrier rolled in. Liam has also joined our team much to dads delight to have a boy in the stables, he thinks the boys can take over now Here's a few finishing their work and some heading out

22.01.2022 This is Mount Bonny, extra big for a paddock name but we have two Bonnys and need to remember who's who. Again another bub out of the round yard and having a stroll around

21.01.2022 Earlier in the year we took on our school based student Storm. Storm needed somewhere to finish out the year so did a few months with us for the last part of the year. Storm finished up her last day today and we wish her luck on her future endeavours, I’m sure there will be plenty of horses in Storm’s future.

21.01.2022 Well the big boy has arrived!! And he's big, wants a bit more time and a few kgs but a nice looking horse. He will have 4 weeks in the lush grass he's in and then have a prep to see where he's at.

20.01.2022 Some sad news for our stables...... We have lost the Hamilton Race Course as a training centre from the 28th March 2021. This means we have to move from our stables on course, back home to Wando Vale full time. We have spent the last few days giving the place a face lift and plans put in place to improve the facilities we already have. A very disappointing blow when we were really starting to get going with staff and horses. This unfortunately means our staff are out of wor...k and we are losing horses and work in the process as well. We will bounce back, we will still win races and we will show how resilient we can be. Being based at home means we are available to do more breaking and put more miles and time into horses with no time limits!!! There is always a silver lining!!! So book them in Although very disappointed we respect the committees decision and understand why it was made. Please keep all nasty comments to yourself as this is already a hard enough blow to us and im sure the committee are feeling it to.

20.01.2022 Some sun this morning, hopefully we get this lot worked before the rain starts again

18.01.2022 Mako - O'whatapicture An old photo today as we were ducking for cover from all the thunder and lightning during today's trials. But Mako got his barrier ticket today in a super effort, a few gallops short, his first time bouncing with other horses, plenty of thunder and lightening and he still got his barrier ticket like a champ. He did get tied the last 100 but we now know how far away from racing we are O'whatapicture he will be on raceday

08.01.2022 Couple of the team easing down in their canter work.

08.01.2022 I'll paint a picture. Red Tycoon, I adored him, he was fast, brilliant and a bloody talented horse. The horse you dream of being involved with, never reaching his full potential due to having to maintain him but still a very good country horse. One of the reasons I wanted to become a trainer was because of this horse Fast forward to me becoming a trainer and finding a 3yo Written Tycoon for sale that screamed Red Tycoon. Immature, big, needing time..... I brought him and n...ow we have Summer Tycoon. Red landed himself a wonderful home with one of our track riders after his racing career was over. Crystal was on her way to a lesson after riding this morning so brought him in and who could resist a photo opportunity of this..... #brothers #writtentycoon #monsterchestnuts

08.01.2022 Two new breakers arriving this afternoon, both lovely types and in super condition A new client with these two lovely ladies, always great to have new blood and new clients coming through the door.

05.01.2022 Lachy came through the stables today to get everyone's teeth done. It makes a huge difference to our team having lach come through once a month to ensure everyone's teeth are in good order.

04.01.2022 Our dear Marion "Lucky Arrow" made the big journey to her new home she arrived safe and is enjoying her new paddock mates. Marion has landed herself a wonderful home for her retirement from racing but has a huge job to undertake. Marion has been selected due to her beautiful nature and quiet sole to be a therapy horse for those who need her. The healing powers of those big brown eyes will be ground breaking and I hope she can provide comfort and understanding to those who need it most.
