24.01.2022 Out checking cows on pasture today here’s a picture of High Point Relentless 20B he is the offspring of two great Australian imports from Ardrossan Lowline Stud , Ardrossan Orient and High Point Lila .

23.01.2022 After a howling deluge last night, the cows are now settled and look like Ladies waiting the arrival of their calves in the next few weeks.

23.01.2022 Our early arrival calf is progressing very well. Now out in the paddock with Mum after 4 days in the yards and shed during our stormy weather last weekend. He weighed 20kg or 44# and his mum weighed 423kg or 931#. She has plenty of milk and we have plenty of grass, so he should bound away now.

22.01.2022 Don't forget our Dispersal. Please let us know if you are visiting us. Some cattle already snapped up. Ardrossan Birregurra, sire of some of our calves at foot.

21.01.2022 Ardrossan Orient, Fullblood Australian Lowline semen stored and available in the UK and to EU breeders. Please contact us at Email: [email protected] for details.

19.01.2022 Some of our proven cows awaiting new homes. Reasonably priced 3 in 1 packages available.

16.01.2022 Always nice to get photos from clients of their progeny from our Ardrossan Lowline genetics. This morning we received this photo from America of "Excellence" , a 3 year old bull sired by Ardrossan Orient out of Ardrossan Jacarla, a line that has been proven many times over. We have only a few straws of Orient left in Australia for sale. Contact us if interested - [email protected] Father (RHS) Son (LHS)

13.01.2022 Not only have Peter and I been overseas recently, but these three girls we delivered to Pages Transport Depot this morning, are headed for Tasmania this afternoon on the Spirit of Tasmania. Can’t say I am jealous, as with the wind currently blowing, they will be in for a rough trip. Sorry to see my Trentham heifer go, but know she will be a front paddock promoter for the Lowline breed in Tasmania. Travel well girls and we hope to see you again one day.

12.01.2022 Cuddlepie, Coala’s full embryo flush sister, with her Kaptain Midnight bull calf.

10.01.2022 Whilst we are in isolation, this week we have castrated our bull calves, had all the depastured females pregnancy tested and weighed all stock. One bull calf I had a problem castrating, so asked my agent to help out, which he kindly did today whilst keeping our social distance. Seems one testicle was horizontal and seemed to have two chords, one at each end, which prevented it from dropping to vertical. All gone now thanks to Kris. The pregnancy testing resulted in all but one... heifer being in calf, the bull catching them all on their first cycle. A good result for Spring calving The empty heifer I will hold over with the empty cows that are away at the moment, but due to return soon, and join for an Autumn calving. Weighing our Coala calves resulted in the heifers with an average of DWG of 801gms and the males with a DWG of 907gms. These calves range from 4 - 6 months of age and are totally fed on grass, no hay as yet. Now to think what to do for the rest of our isolation!!! See more

08.01.2022 This weekend, 22nd 23rd June, we are again holding Open Days at Ardrossan Stud for the dispersal of most of our Lowline herd. Breeders have already taken advantage of securing Ardrossan stock for their herds, but we still have available quality cows with both bulls and heifer calves at foot. We encourage and welcome your inspection. This is the link to our revised catalogue https://www.flipsnack.com//ardrossan-dispersal-sale-catalo

06.01.2022 The result of embryos and semen exported a few years ago from Ardrossan Lowline. Russ and Linda have been great supporters of our genetics and we appreciate their friendship.

05.01.2022 Moving cattle in a paddock rotation programme when there is still plenty of grass where they are grazing, requires patience and is a time consuming chore. Our quiet cattle take no notice of my whistling, tooting the horn or shaking a towel in the air making a normal quick task take double the time. Whilst other farmers in our area, are feeding out hay, our girls are feeding their calves, hopefully getting in calf (to be preg tested next week) and maintaining or gaining body weight in readiness for the Winter ahead. Shown here is our small herd, with 6 dry cows to join them in a couple of weeks. Also shown is Cuddlepie with her Broken Arrow Kaptain Midnight bull calf.

03.01.2022 Some of our sale cattle.

03.01.2022 One of our proven, late 2018 bulls, Inglewood, sired by Olympus out of a Lawdon cow going back to Findon, is now looking for a new home. Together with great genetics, this bull offers early growth with above average DWG, excellent depth and muscling all supported by a healthy grass diet. PM me for more details.
