09.01.2022 Its turtle nesting season and we're getting geared up for freshwater turtle nest surveys this weekend with our volunteer conservation detection dog teams! Wet weather around this time of year can trigger females to leave waterways to come onto dry land to dig nests to lay their eggs into so keep an eye out for turtles on the roads!

07.01.2022 So proud of our volunteer conservation detection dog teams who are wrapping up up the second phase of of our conservation detection dog training program. Our teams are working hard to develop their scent detection skills in order to assist local conservation efforts such as finding freshwater turtle nests. Its great to be able to work with such a dedicated bunch of handlers and their very talented pet dogs! Here are a few photos of some of our amazing dog-handler teams training in one of our two-day workshops over the weekend. Big thanks to our awesome trainers from Human + Hound and Canidae Development!
