25.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PLAYERS, PARENTS, VOLUNTEERS AND COMMITTEE REGARDING THE 2020 SEASON. We are seeking feedback on the proposal of what the season might look like if we are able to start. The photo attached is the proposed dates for the new draw to commence. Obviously we are in unchartered territory and the soccer season as we know it will be very different IF this year goes ahead.... Games would be played within the dates on both weekends and weekdays to allow for social distancing, this could potentially mean mini roos would play midweek. There will be a limit on how many people are allowed at any ground at any given time. This will be heavily policed. Only one parent is permitted at the ground for Under 18s - for those playing in grades 18 years and over (including all age) no spectators are allowed. All players must turn up to the ground 15 minutes prior to kick off (no earlier) and all players must leave the ground as soon as the game is over. There would be no bbq, canteen or change room facilities available this year. The most important thing for our club right now is that we will require extra volunteers to make this run smoothly if it was to go ahead - Approx 10-15 additional people will be required. We are sorry to say that without volunteers locked in and committed to help out this season, we can not proceed as the 4-5 people on our committee can't do everything themselves. If the season was to be stopped again due to another COVID19 outbreak it is likely that the season would be cancelled and not resume in 2020. There will be no finals series for the 2020 season. It will be premiers only (1st place at season end) Please let us know your thoughts on this and whether you would be willing to proceed under the proposed guidelines . Please remember no one has been in this position before. We are all just trying our best to make a sensible decision to make the season work, so please be respectful with all comments made. Please feel free to privately message the club if you would prefer.

Please note: if you want to play or you have a child that wants to play this season its crucial that everyone attends at their meeting time to listen to the new rule changes and what it means for all of us, as outlined by NNSW - the key point raised will be that we need volunteers for the 2020 season to go ahead, without volunteers this year will not be possible. 5pm to 520pm - Juniors & Parents... 530pm to 550pm - AA Friday night 6pm to 620pm - AA Saturday 630pm to 650pm - Over 35s We will have social distancing officers there on the night to ensure that all government and association rules and regulations are followed at all times. We hope to see as many there as possible.

15.01.2022 EXTRAORDINARY MEETING CALLED for TUESDAY 26TH MAY 2020. Good evening players, parents, volunteers, committee and life members. We have been inundated with enquires and speculation around the 2020 season and what it looks like for our great club. ... All answers, to the best of our knowledge, regarding the potential season ahead will be provided on Tuesday 26th May at the ground. We need to be very clear; this meeting will be about how we can launch a season together. We will need volunteers to make this year work. 13.01.2022 It is with deep regret that we write to inform of the passing of former Director Alan Gilmore after a long illness. He was 77 years old. Alan was the longest se...rving Director/Company Secretary of Macquarie Football (29 Years) until his retirement in March. Alan was one of the original Directors and held the Company Secretary role the whole time he was on the Board. Alan was also a Life Member of Macquarie Football Limited. Alan was also a former winner of Northern NSW’s Bill Douglas award for services to Football in the region. Since retiring from teaching and before he couldn’t travel anymore, Alan would spend most afternoons at the Macquarie Football Office. Alan's dry sense of humour in our boardroom minutes and his correctness in all his endeavours will be missed. His baritone voice and love of red wine never forgotten. I'm pretty sure all players of all ages knew and respected Alan. He will be remembered. Alan’s Funeral will be held next Friday 14th August at 10.00am at Pettigrews Funerals, Belmont. Due to COVID restrictions there is a limit on the amount of people that can attend the funeral, however it will be live streamed at pettigrew.com.au/gilmore-alan from 10.00am.

04.01.2022 Good afternoon all, Due to a large number of enquiries over the past week, we feel that it is important to address all questions around the COVID19 pandemic and a 2020 football season, as a matter of transparency. Like every other football club in the country we remain under strict instruction and guidance of our government, followed by the Northern NSW Football Federation. ... At this time, while there are current restrictions in place we are not allowed to take the field for the purpose of training or games. All we know at this moment is there are talks of restrictions possibly being lifted later in the year, what that looks like for a soccer season for our great club in 2020 is yet to be determined. As soon as we have any word on a season (or not) we will be in touch with all players, parents, coaches and volunteers. We thank you all for your patience, understanding and messages of support during this time - let's all keep doing the right thing and keep our fingers crossed that a season can go ahead in some way, shape or form in 2020. 02.01.2022 Good evening all, Due to the recent (ongoing) COVID19 pandemic, it is with great sadness that after much deliberation between parents, players, committee members and volunteers we notify you all that Argenton United JSC will not compete in the 2020 football season. A revised season agenda was tabled to us, which we have tried to work through and discuss, unfortunately due to a lack of volunteers and the feedback from players and our committee we have come to a unanimous decis...ion that a season in 2020 is just not viable for us. While there are many more contributing factors to this, please know that none were more important than the health and safety of our players and volunteers. For those that have paid their registration this year there are 2 options; (1) Credit towards your registration in 2021 (2) Refund of funds paid - if you are wanting to pursue this option please contact our president Jeff Coles via email, to discuss: [email protected] Once again, we would like to thank all of our parents, players and club members for their patience and understanding during this challenging time and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Argenton United Junior Soccer Club for what we hope will be a great 2021 Season.
