25.01.2022 The cats and I will be doing a little interview with Craig on WOW FM 100.5 tonight at 9pm about our breakfast gig coming up on Sunday for the glorious folk at NSS. For me personally, breakfast is the worst meal of the day due to the boring nature of the food on offer. It is also an important meal so what I have found is that if you eat dinner food for breakfast like pasta or pizza or Indian food it makes it easy. No one says you have to eat that shitty toast or cereal, these are the social constructs that must be destroyed, like gender and racial inequality.
25.01.2022 We have been a little quiet of late, mostly because recent events have hit us hard. We make music to fight against what we believe is unjust in our society; it hasn't always made us friends and it hasn't always been easy. We have been overly polite, overly accommodating and that has come to an end. In the last few days I have seen racism and ignorance from places I didn't expect and I have also seen glorious power and alliance from equally unexpected places. I'm sick of tryi...ng to explain white privilege and systemic racism to ignorant people. Fucking Google it, there are endless quality sources. I'm sick of censoring my lyrics and biting my tongue and I'm fucking sick of the patriarchal racist system that I live in. This uprising in America and the attitudes it has sparked here at home have been a sobering reminder of why music needs to have meaning and power and fucking relevance. Stay tuned. - Joe from Argus.
