12.01.2022 Okay folks, $2,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to someone getting charged with stealing our truck. At 1am this morning (1st April), a couple of... Launcestons finest citizens decided they liked the look of the gear we had loaded on our truck ready for some deliveries. They thought it was probably easier to just steal the whole truck and set it alight when they were done in Heritage Forest, Invermay. They left our yard at 1am, drove out to Invermay Road via Mayne Street near Invermay Primary School and lost half of the gear loaded on the truck. Proceeded to go along Invermay Road to McKenzie Street, Invermay where they lost the remainder of the load. Now with nothing on the back of the truck worth keeping, they've then headed up to Rocherlea and Mayfield where they've gone through the cab to find what they could and taking out some street signs and a few other things. After they were done with that, it's been driven into Heritage Forest and set alight. $80,000 to $90,000 of damage, stolen goods and destruction all for nothing because they lost it all over the streets of Invermay. Two males, one wearing light shoes, pants and a hoodie. The second was wearing dark shoes and pants with a black back pack. They came into our yard in Forster Street from the Tamar Valley Dairy (Murphy Street) end of the flood levee, spent 5 minutes or so going through the yard of the bus company next to us. Once they entered our yard, they have walked around for a bit, tried to steal our single cab ute, once unsuccessful with that, they started on the truck and got in. They've then driven through our gates to get out of our yard. After dumping our truck, they stole 2 quad bikes from Goodman Court and were riding them around Invermay, Mowbray and Newnham areas. Someone has to have seen or know something. These people need to be held accountable, businesses are struggling or if they aren't yet, they will be as our economy starts to suffer. We're a small, family business providing employment to 40 people in our team and whenever this happens, we cannot spend money in the right places within our business. We've had enough. $2,000 reward up for grabs.
