23.01.2022 A big congratulations to Renee Marie for winning a national title in Advanced Adult Synchro and Penny, Emily and Emma for 3rd place in Basic Novice synchro at the 2019 Australian National Championships! So proud of you all!

23.01.2022 As all of us have to adapt to life without an ice rink right now, I thought I’d share all the basic off-ice equipment I currently use and will be encouraging my students to use to maintain their fitness and motivation while we are forced to take time off the ice. Everyone stay safe and wash your hands P.S. My dog is the best workout partner and only tried to steal and run off with my medicine ball 4 times

22.01.2022 Well done to Penny who was filmed this morning for the first ISA online competition trial! It was definitely a different experience from a normal competition. We will now have to wait for a judging panel to convene and judge based on videos to give out the final results. Hopefully soon we’ll all be able to travel again and enjoy competing in the same venue as the other competitors!

22.01.2022 Most skaters find themselves either a jumper or a spin. I personally love the feeling of jumping but actually think I’m a better spinner So I’m curious, comment below whether you’re a jumper or spinner and what is your favourite element!

22.01.2022 It’s been a week since our rink has been open. But with that came the realisation by all my skaters (and myself) that skating felt ‘weird and strange’. As the week progressed everyone started to feel more comfortable and confident on the ice, however many were still frustrated as as they ‘couldn’t’ do what came so naturally and easily before COVID-19. Along with this everyone (coaches included) were physically sore and tired from the return of the ice. Skaters feet had blisters or bruised ankles from their boots and their muscles were extremely sore. I just want to remind everyone that it will take time to get back to where we all were months ago but those that if you push through your comeback will be stronger and better than before

20.01.2022 Still my favourite spin Jane does! So simple yet so beautiful

11.01.2022 ISA have announced that the Australian National Championships 2020 has been cancelled Although it is the right thing to do at this time, as some states have not had the same training opportunity as others and travel is still heavy restricted, it will be sad to know that this will be the first nationals that I haven’t attended since 2012

10.01.2022 Figure skating sessions start back on Monday 4th January. There's still time to get your lessons booked in. Contact me today!

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Jane for coming 3rd place in Adult Gold Group 2 yesterday at the 2019 Australian National Championships. You were so beautiful and looked like you enjoyed every moment out there!

07.01.2022 How many figure skating movies have you seen? I personally love watching Ice Castles (1978) and The Cutting Edge (1992) What’s your favourite skating movie?

06.01.2022 What a good boy

05.01.2022 Skate your Personal Best Camp! It feels like we have all been off the ice for years however I’m sure we’re all super excited to find out that our rink will be opening shortly. That’s why we have decided to put on a skating camp THIS Saturday! No matter what level or discipline, all skaters are welcome to join us! This camp aims to help skaters physically and mentally prepare for the return to the ice while also allowing them to reach their personal best and train at th...eir optimum. The skating camp will include: - Off-ice training and condition - Spin Positions - Balance - Flexibility - Planning and Goal Setting - Understanding the Judging System and Score Sheets You're in good hands! Bernadette Mercurio has dedicated her whole life the skating community and sport. Her coaching efforts have shown through the success of her students. Many (too many in fact to count) have turned in amazing skaters who have been State, National and International Champions in singles, pairs and synchronised skating! Arielle has been skating for 15 years and she is still a Senior Ladies competitive skater today. She has competed at multiple ISU Junior Internationals in 2019. And coaches’ students from tiny tots (3 years old) to state representatives at nationals! Bernie is still in fact Arielle’s coach today and its is one of the reasons why they work so cohesively and well together as a coaching team! Can't wait for Saturday!! Don't Forget to RSVP by Friday the 3rd July.

04.01.2022 Looking good can’t wait for Monday!

02.01.2022 Anyone else having skating withdrawals? Can’t wait to be back on the ice, skating and coaching all of my students
