16.01.2022 Southwest Wellness Symposium 31st Oct 2020 Session 2 Men's Emotional Health & Wellbeing Panellist - Dan Kozyrski was an Infantry Soldier in the Australian army... and served in East Timor and Afghanistan between 2005 until his discharge in 2012. During his deployment he witnessed many acts of extreme violence directed towards himself and his combat units culminating in the deadly explosion of an IED at close range resulting in severe injuries to three of his men - and severe PTSD. Dan has used his lived experience of healing through collaborating with various holistic health practitioners as his inspiration to create Southern Fire Wellness. His use of the surrounding countryside for grounding and reconnection also plays an enormous part not only in his own continued healing but also the healing of those that seek out Dan and Southern Fire Wellness. This is a HHPN Event - Tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/southwest-wellness-symposiu

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Here in Margaret River, we have the benefit of seeing how quickly the COVID -19 Virus has spread across the globe. I feel strongly that it is my social and ethical obligation to be part of the solution by limiting the risk of spread as much as it is in my power to do so. For this reason, I will be closing the Arise Osteopathy clinic indefinitely, until I feel that it is safe to re-commence practising. This is a decision I have made as an individual, ahead of any ...government or Osteopathic Board of Australia recommendations. Current clients please be assured that myself and my family are well, and that this is purely a preventative measure. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with each and every one of my clients over the past 14 months. I plan to continue supporting each of you to the best of my ability via telehealth and will be providing further details about this in the coming week. Osteopathy is well known for being a manual hands on therapy. However, I am sure that each my clients know from experience that I am a big believer in health education and self - care strategies. I have always seen myself as a facilitator of the healing process and strongly acknowledge that it is the choices that we each make as individuals everyday, that really determine our health. Isolation will be more challenging for some of us than others and I am wary of the mental health implications it will have on our community. I encourage those who need assistance in this area to seek help. I have no doubt that there will be many online support services available soon. Feel free to PM me if you need direction. I think for some of us, this is a chance to slow down a little, take stock of what is most important, and maybe undertake tasks or activities that weve been meaning to get around to for months. Take advantage of the fact that we live in a stunning rural region, and that self-isolation doesnt mean you cant go to the beach for a swim or out for a bush walk through our beautiful national parks. Keeping active and getting fresh air is an important part of staying well. For those who need immune support, I encourage you to get in touch with one of the wonderful naturopaths in town. I know that Tess Doig, Victoria Martin and Georgina Rose all offer online services. Alternatively speak with your GP or pharmacist. Finally, thank you for your ongoing support this past year. It has been a privilege to care for so many of you. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Kind Regards, Nicola Raimbert.

08.01.2022 I've been a little behind, actioning and sharing these this year, so thought I'd do a little update. Below the organisations that we've donated 1% of quarterly sales too. Special mention to Mindful Margaret River - they provide a wonderful service for our community! April 2020 - Mindful Margaret River - The Augusta Margaret River Community Mental Health Alliance (Mindful Margaret River) is an association of Mental Health Professionals, Government Agencies, Community Represen...tatives and the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River working together to promote mental health and wellbeing in the Shire. 05.01.2022 Breastfeeding need not be an excuse to put off returning to regular exercise. Exercise doesnt change the composition of your milk or affect infant growth. Just be sure to keep up with regular food and fluid intake.

05.01.2022 As an osteo, I take all areas of health into consideration, including sleep; because when we don't sleep well, our body doesn't get its nightly chance to rest, recuperate and restore itself. As any sleep deprived mama will tell you, lack of sleep dramatically effects how we feel, how we function and how well we recover. So here are a few tips to help you get a few more Zzzz's.

04.01.2022 Mastitis is never pleasant - Symptoms include breast tenderness, a red streak along the inflamed or infected duct, And flu like symptoms such as an achy body, fever, chills and headaches. Rest, keep up fluids and feed regularly. Every 1-2 hours. If bub is older and not interested, then hand express a little. Massage around the whole breast from the chest wall towards the nipple. Osteopathic treatment can be utilised to improve lymphatic drainage around the breast and correct biomechanical strains that might be predisposing to blocked ducts in the first place.
