14.01.2022 TUESDAY UPDATE: 1 NEW COVID-19 CASE IN ARMIDALE Today one additional case of coronavirus was confirmed in the Northern Tablelands - in Armidale. This is t...he second case in Armidale. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases within the Northern Tablelands to 8. The new Armidale case is a person who has not been overseas or in personal contact with anyone already known to have coronavirus. NSW Police and health authorities are still investigating the source. The individual is completely isolated at home after being released from hospital. The current confirmed cases, by local government areas, are: Armidale Regional - 2 Glen Innes Severn - 2 Gwydir - 0 Inverell- 3 Moree Plains - 0 Uralla - 1 This new case, with an unknown source, is our region’s most worrying yet. Now more than ever, as the virus makes its way through our shires, towns and villages, we must remain vigilant, follow the rules and do our part to keep ourselves and those around us safe from this disease. It is critical that everyone in all our local communities continue to practice social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19. This is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable. It’s also important that we protect our health care workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19... WE NEED THEM! The best thing everyone can do at this point is to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential. And remember to: Wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub; Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow; Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms; Stay home if you are sick; and Keep your distance from others as much as possible through social distancing For advice and information about COVID-19 visit www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases//coronavirus.aspx Until tomorrow, take care, stay safe and look out for each other. Adam.

11.01.2022 The present is only a fleeting moment, an instance that passes at once into the past. It then escapes our influence so utterly that it is beyond the reach of t...he wildest imagination. Moshe Feldenkrais. The Potent Self Call yourself into the present moment, out of the past and back from the future. Then, perhaps, each moment can be a blank canvas for you to create new ideas, feelings, thoughts and movement. In a Feldenkrais lesson, whether in a group or one to one, the ability to surrender to each given moment and be fully present in your sense of yourself is a chance to discover something new in what makes you who you are. As you move, a new thought can arise, or perhaps a new sensation awakens due to feeling something physical shift in a split second of a new movement. Each new avenue of exploration gives a fresh possibility for what you could do, sense or feel. From here you can spring forward, ready for the next moment to present itself as a brand new line of your story.
