25.01.2022 The idea for this weeks Covid Competition came from one of my "friends" posting a lovely photo of myself in a Hawaiian costume back in our Pony Club days during... last weeks competition. It got me thinking. I have met so many wonderful people through horses. I started at Pony Club when I was 8 (and that is a long time ago) at Corner Inlet Pony club. They were great times and I am still friends and in touch with some of those people now. Tammy Larking, Lisa Commadeur, Mark Commadeur. From there I kept competing, met horse people wherever I moved to, bred and sold some horses and have stayed in touch with their new owners. Went to University and studied Equine Science and made life long friends there also Jo-Anne Bawden. Studied Equine Massage in Canberra one very cold winter and met one of the best ladies ever in Sarah Hoare. I travelled to France and Germany when I was starting my business with some beautiful friends that I met through horses Lisa Mawson Cridge and Linda Harvey. There are so many people in my life that I will be forever grateful to have met and if it wasnt for the mutual love of horses I wouldnt have met them. They have been there in the hardest days of my life and always there to celebrate the good times. They have exposed me to things I would never have experienced (see above photo of when the WB Dressage Diva went on the Xmas rodeo run). Whilst we suffer through another lockdown in Victoria I look forward to the time we can all catch up and compete again. So... this weeks competition is: - Tell us a brief story of how you got into horses and tag those friends that you met through horses and are grateful to have in your life. We decided the changes need to reflect our new name & what it is we offer here at what was once Yaraman Park. ...The last few years has seen some changes & we would like to thank the people that have supported the businesses through these changes.
