As an example l have taken a photo of two oil samples, one is locally grown and processed, it is a vibrant dark green in color. The other is refined avocado oil purchased from a reputable wholesaler of raw ingredients for the cosmetic industry, it is pale yellow in color and has no odor of avocado. 10.01.2022 I really need to share my concerns about chemically fragranced after some recent events that have caused severe adverse reactions to myself. This is the reason I started to make my skin care products. When I come into contact with Chemical fragrance of any sort I have immediate affects like dizziness loss of balance brain fog severe headache respiratory distress. the effects from one exposure can last for days and prevent me from being able to function normally. The first enc...ounter was from a fragranced wall mounted dispenser in a private home. The second encounter was the following day when I was unable to drive because of the encounter and had asked a friend to drive for me. We stopped to have a cuppa at a well known tourist venue on the Sunshine Coast. When I walked into the shop/ Cafe we were overcome by fragrance, need to use the toilet and there we were squirted at by another wall mounted fragrance device. I had a face mask on but when we came out and went outside our exposed skin was coated with the fragrance, I presume from the fine mist being in the air and settling on our skin. I am attaching an excerpt and a reference from an Australian published report by Prof Anne Steinemann. I beg everyone to read this and consider your health and that of others before using any chemical fragrance. The problem of fragranced products is sweeping Australia and other countries, resulting in adverse health effects, lost workdays, and inability to access public places, such as restrooms and businesses. While the use of fragranced products may be premised on that they improve indoor air quality, the contrary is actually the case; that is, fragranced products emit and generate a complex mixture of chemical pollutants, including carcinogenic hazardous air pollutants, but nearly all are undisclosed. While further research is needed to better understand which chemicals and mixtures are associated with the effects, what is known is that the products are reportedly causing adverse effects in a sizeable (33%) percentage of the population. Further, the effects can be immediate, severe, and potentially disabling. Important implications for prevention arise from this study. 08.01.2022 This morning while I was hanging out the washing early, the beautiful fragrance was wafting over from the Rose geranium growing wild and as it likes in the corner of the back yard. It brought a lovely smile of contentment to my face and thoughts of how I use it and fresh lavender in my beauty routine. I make a tea out of flowers and leaves od either the rose geranium or the lavender by pouring boiling water over the leaves in my herbal tea pot. I leave it stand for maybe 10 ...minutes, then bottle it up and store it in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. Then remake as needed. I sometimes just take it into the bathroom when washing my face in the mornings and put some tin my hands and splash it on my face, or put it in a spray bottle and spray it on my hair, or just pour it into a bowl to soak my feet in. So simple but so refreshing and full of health benefits for skin and hair. Rose geranium Water is useful for all skin conditions and helps to keep the skin supple. It has a balancing effect on the mind lifts the spirit Lavender water is soothing and antiseptic. It refreshes skin and hair and can also soothe blemished skin. Lavender is well known for its calming properties.
