25.01.2022 Arrivederci Covid news We can now seat 20 people and as of Friday we will be able to seat 35 people. We have divided our restaurant in 2 rooms. 20 inside and 15 outside. Monday, Friday and Saturday evenings we will have 3 seatings still to give everyone a chance of dining in. 5:30pm, 7pm and 8:30pm. We will still need details, etc for dine in. We will only be offering happy hour for takeaway at this stage on Thursday and Friday. No dine in unfortunately. ... We are relying on our amazing customers to do the correct thing. We are not asking for a deposit or do we enforce a minimum spend. All we ask is to book for the correct amount and turn up. If you need to cancel please do so at least 24 hours before. 24.01.2022 Hello lovely people, (well most of you)! If you are lucky enough to get a table with our 10 person limit. Our staff will ask you to write down your name, number and address on a piece of paper. This is now enforced by law if we are to operate with the wonderful capacity of 10 people. So please be courteous and respectful and write your details. Rest assured these details will remain private. We are not building a mailing list. And frankly we dont even care what you write on... the piece of paper. So if you refuse to give us your details you will be asked as politely to leave. Our staff dont enjoy this part of the job and frankly feel a little stupid even for having to ask. But please dont be rude. Sorry for the rant, but a small few have made me frustrated and defensive for my staff. Cheers David (owner).

24.01.2022 Split bills. Why do most restaurants refuse to split bills ? Reflecting on our Saturday evening service that just past, we did close to 300 covers. Many large groups, some tables as large as 20 to 40 people. With Christmas upon us large groups are common. Dining out should be simple and enjoyable. Some restaurants tell you up front when booking they don't split bills, most write it on there menus. Some make you feel like a child for even asking. ... There are so many ways for restaurants to make dining easy, * Pay and order separately at the bar * Split the bill evenly.(It doesn't cost extra) * We can even itemise the bill Sure it may take a staff member an extra minute but isn't this worth the business of happy repeat customers.

12.01.2022 Its a sad day for the Arrivederci family. Today marks the final shift for Enrica. Covid strikes for the final time (we hope) at Arrivederci. Family is everything, and for Enrica this couldnt be truer. Her entire family sits on the other side of the world and recently she even became an Auntie so its time to go home. While we are all so sad to see her go we are also so happy for her that she was granted special exemption to leave Australia. To say she is special woul...d be an understatement. She is the sweetest, most compassionate person to have worked at Arrivederci. She was the mother of Arrivederci, always looking out for all the girls that worked here. She created an amazing working atmosphere at the Derc and leaves a massive hole to be filled. She is a real superstar. 09.01.2022 Dear Covid 19 Now that Arrivederci is almost back to normal I wanted to let you know how you made me feel since you made your presence. I watched you grow from the start and spread your wings. Like most of us, I didnt take you too seriously. It wasnt affecting me directly. Oh, how I underestimated your determination! Then you reached Italy. My parents were born in Italy and I still have immediate family that live there. As I watched from a far it hit me that you were here... to destroy. Destroy so many lives! You even took my friends Uncle. I really hated you! I then got selfish and hated what you were doing to me personally. My parents started Arrivederci and worked bloody hard to help get it to where it is today. My dad passed away in 2007 and since then I have always had control of the future of Arrivederci. Then without notice because of you I was told that I could no longer open my business to the public. Overnight for a second, my life fell apart. I hated that you were in control of the future. That you were going to destroy so many lives. I hated that you made my team so vulnerable. You ripped us apart. You left me with so many unanswered questions. What did the future hold? But then something amazing happened. Like so many other businesses we quickly learnt that our friends (customers) were here to help us get back up and beat you. Our takeaway business grew and thrived. You helped us grow a bond that was unbreakable. Then recently we were even able to have a few friends eat at Arrivederci every night. This is when you taught me an incredible lesson. The old saying, You dont know what youve got until it is gone was so true for both myself and friends of Arrivederci. You gave both sides a new understanding of what it is like to dine at a restaurant. Those first few nights that I got to serve again I was on fire. It was electric, I was alive again. The lucky few that got to dine on those first nights were like kids in a candy shop for the first time. And still up to this present day, everyone that dines at Arrivederci has been so grateful and appreciative of the experience. Everything tastes new and we are both in love all over again. So what I am trying to say to you Covid, is while I still hate what you did and may not forgive you, I am strangely thankful that you have taught me a new lesson in life. You have made me love what I do again and be for ever grateful for the little pleasures in life. Thank you, David

05.01.2022 Happy Hour announcement. For over 15 years we have been offering happy hour every Thursday and Friday afternoon between 3pm and 6pm. The deal has been half price pizza and cheap drinks. This has been for both dine in and take away. Recently we have made the difficult decision to now only offer happy hour as a take away option. This decision has been made for the foreseeable future. The decision was reached partly due to the restriction in numbers we are allowed due to... Covid 19 and partly due to the fact that it is no longer a sustainable business model as it was when costs were lower many years ago. We understand that we may lose customers to dine in and apologise in advance and remind you that it will always be available for take away pizza orders.
