21.01.2022 Inspired by Nature 5 The Geelong School of Botanical Art, with the Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens, is again delighted to celebrate the work of its students and tutors with Inspired by Nature 5. This much anticipated biennial event in the Friends’ calendar is at art@wintergarden; 25 artists are exhibiting more than 50 artworks painted during the last two years. October 1 - October 29 10.000 am - 4.00 pm daily

18.01.2022 Jill Shalless ‘Swan Song’ exhibition celebrates 14 years at The Wintergarden coming to a close. The art work for this show will include paintings from across this era. Landscapes from Geelong to Turkey, portraits and figurative pieces, small scale and larger works, some prize winning paintings and some little gems. All works will be priced as a studio sale in this final exhibition. Jill looks forward to seeing you and celebrating this chapter of her career. It has been my ab...solute pleasure to work with some of our region’s top artists and sculptors whose support and friendship have inspired and driven this little business. Our regular visitors always a joy to talk to and which I will miss terribly. Design Markets and performances, emerging artists and fund raisers, so many wonderful memories. The support from local media and encouragement from so many individuals have kept me buoyant. Over the years there has been two artists who shared the load for some time, thank you Lianne and Faye. Thanks to Michele for her media support and patience, Chantelle and Ines for time, encouragement and advice,Greg for expert web updates, and thanks to The Wintergarden crew for being there. I am very excited to be focusing on my own art practice a bit more and to continue to teach. See more

13.01.2022 I am rather excited to be running some workshops at the beautiful Studio@54 in Ocean Grove in the next few months. Sarting with Self portraits (terrifying and exciting all at the same time) November 18th so book now.
