15.01.2022 F Y I - As you all will know now Melbourne Metropolitan Area is in lockdown once again. The news may have been alarming for those who are affected but we would like to reassure you that we are, as always, in this together. ... As we are all professionals at navigating our lives through lock down we are certain we will get through these next weeks with grace and compassion for those that have been affected by this awful COVID-19 virus. Hairdressing has been deemed an essential service, which we all know it is, and that is great news. If you currently have an appointment please still attend and if not you can always call and make one. If we could ask you to come to your appointment alone so we keep within the correct number of people in the salon. Miles Wilson hairdressing will continue to open and the hours for us all will remain the same as they are currently. This allows us to keep the required social distancing. (I took this photo in Sri Lanka) We need to try to be mindfull of our choices, whether they are bad or good, they can have an impact in the long term. From the air we breathe to the that cleans our hair we depend on the environment. We may not be perfect at Miles Wilson but we are consciously looking at ways to improve our consumption. ... For a start we weigh all our chemical products to eliminate wastage; we recycle everything possible including all soft plastics with Redcycle; we only use environmentally sustainable cleaning products; even the coffee grounds get used on my garden to stop the slugs nibbling her seedlings! According to our Premier, Daniel Andrews, the covering can be a mask, scarf, bandana - anything that fits securely and creates a barrier. ... We will continue to be open and following all procedures and ensuring that we not only make you feel beautiful but safe too. Please remember to bring your face covering with you and that is is securely in place BEFORE entering the salon.
