This style of art is well suited to those of you out there who are the perfectionists of our world. The ones who like to get the details right. Who get a sweet satisfaction when art looks exactly like a photo. It’s not for everyone - some people feel very strongly that art should be an expression and go beyond a photo. Some believe in mark making. In art, it’s important to find your tribe, the ones that think like you. 04.01.2022 Watching @sweetlittlevalleyart fall in love with oils after a day with the local master @hobie_porter at our Byron Creative Retreat. I designed these retreats to be a series of ‘taster’ 1 day sessions with a completely new style and medium and teacher each day. With so many options in the arts my hope is that this helps you to decide what is and isn’t for you. I believe that there is a place for everyone in the art world where diversity is celebrated. You can be someone who loves to play and splash around colours and textures, or a more meditative realist enjoying the study of values. Not sure where to start? Start anywhere and follow your the art that makes your heart sing
