07.01.2022 Not a pretty post but I am working from home today as my son is too sick to go to school. I thought it was a good opportunity to sketch out a plan for the development of dhurga phoneme resources. Watching The Point on TV as I sketch away and for a second I wonder why I am trying to help revive an ancient language which was stolen from my ancestors. Why when the world doesn't care? The world refuses to reflect on black history and work to fix the damage that has occured which... still impacts our culture and its people today. 06.01.2022 Really proud to have helped bring this dhurga language book to life as part of the Ulladulla language group. 'We are Australian' tranlsated in to dhurga, a South Coast language. The entire process from translation to teaching the song, to capturing it in this book was a lot of work but I am really happy with how it came out. ... Our community should be proud with over 130 kids learning and performing this song in language. Bravo. Pretty proud to have produced that cute little face too...and the art used in the book too. Shout out to Ulladulla public school and Wilka photography for their contribution. This afternoon I jumped in the car to go to town and saw two lyrebirds together dancing on Monkey Mountain road.
