13.01.2022 Today I'm celebrating but will wait for the flowers. In the past 6 weeks I have had my birthday, my partners birthday, celebrated our anniversary, moved to the opposite side of Brisbane using my car, moved business as well, run workshops and worked at the gallery. I'm now a mumma of 2 cats and moved into Michael's house. It's been epic. I'm shouting myself a few days away after the school holidays to recoup. And then, when everything is placed and tidy and clean, I am going to the markets to buy gargantuan bunches of flowers to beautify and bliss out (and probably paint coz I can't help it). How do you reward your efforts?

13.01.2022 Holy Toledo Artfolkers. @workshopbrisbane has beyond stacks of clay work ready to be collected, even from 2020 and earlier! If you have ceramics to collect then please do so. If you don't want them then gift them or give to charity. It is such a waste of time and effort... of firings and glazing and manhandling, but most importantly we all want to be much more sustainable than this going into the rubbish to survive for millenia.

12.01.2022 Anyone out there like me who gets so many different ideas and inspirations that they have unfinished projects and creative yearnings that can't be resolved quickly? I've abandoned many an artmaking task... Knitting because I become obsessed to the point of dreaming it and getting RSI; a piece of leftover linen I've always intended to stitch and embroider; and countless ceramic works that pile up waiting for mixed media embellishments that end up in the bin. The perceived perfection of artwork being 'completed' is out of my hands. I make, do, enjoy and hope it's good enough
