22.01.2022 Etnies are known around the world to be the leaders in footwear & apparel built by skateboarders for skateboarders to withstand the toughest conditions of skateboarding. Earlier in the year, we had been sent a shipment of their "MARANA MICHELIN" shoes for our Unitech race team members to wear as part of our 2020 team uniform. Due to Covid-19 we hadn't had a chance to wear them at the track, until last weekend for the final round of the Australian Superbikes (ASBK) at Wakefi...eld Park, NSW - Sydney. After being in them each day for a minimum of 16 hours a day, for 4 days straight - we would have to say they have been the most comfortable of all shoes we have worn over the years. Although the oversized rubber toe area is there for when you are busting out a "12 stair trey flip", it works perfectly for us a mechanic when working on the bike and your toes are scraping the ground. The team couldn’t be anymore happier with them. If you want to read what Etnies has to say, go ahead: The Etnies Marana is a durable cupsole with an STI Evolution Foam midsole. For durability, the upper includes a fused on, injected rubber toe cap making the Marana a tough and long-lasting shoe. For comfort and performance, it includes a padded tongue and collar, Pro Foam 1 Polyurethane insole and full-length flex grooves in the 400 NBS rubber outsole for ultimate flexibility. It also has hidden lace loops for lace protection, while the outsole features an exposed STI Evolution Foam Icon logo and a beefy tread designed to last by including both a traditional herringbone and car tire-like tread pattern.
