21.01.2022 Lithgow James street bridge stone replacement has been completed and this refurbishment has almost come to a end. More photos to come once all works had been finalised.

21.01.2022 The last stir and let it finish slacking down

20.01.2022 Lithgow James street railway bridge stonemasonry work. The works consisted of removing all of the hard cement mortar joints and patches. Cleaned all the stone with a hot wash. Stone stabilisation with stainless steel pins. Over 300 helicoil bars at 1m in length to tie over all the cracks. All joints and patches are lime mortar with a local washed river sand. The stone parapet stones on the ends of the bridge were lifted up and pinned back into alignment. 1 parapet stone was replaced due to the condition it was left in.
