"(Domestic) art tourists are high value tourists they are more likely to stay longer and spend more... when travelling than domestic tourists overall." That's one of the findings from a new Australia Council for the Arts report titled "Domestic Arts Tourism - Connecting the Country", and it's a wonderful surprise to us. A whopping 13.4 million overnight trips within Australia by Australians in 2018 included visits to arts or arts activities. It seems we Aussies love our art when travelling.
