Its horrific and necessary to witness. Chose to SEE, to WITNESS the trauma in our world and remain unwavering in your humility and self-respect about the changes we need to create and your potential to contribute to that change, even in the smallest and most humble of ways. 04.01.2022 "But slavery ended in the year XYZ"... aka I'm oblivious to the ways in which it continues "All lives matter" ... aka I can't deal with someone making me feel uncomfortable about the inequities in my world, or my privilege "the should help themselves"... um, kinda hard when 'their' efforts are consistently and systemically undermined. We need to accept the reality that currently NOT all lives matter.... and thats how in 2020 we are witness again to LYNCHING! Perhaps a key dif...ference is that now it's NOT hidden... and even if till a moment before reading this you didnt have the strength to face the realities of racism, inequity and white privilege, well, these are no longer things that you have any right to hide YOURSELF from. So learn to know, to SEE it all, and remain unwavering and strong in the face of the reality that each and everyone of us is responsible for generating an equitable world. Denying that is to deny the potential of that world becoming a reality. #peace #blacklivesmatter #embracerace
