25.01.2022 Sculpture has existed for eons of time - a timeless expression of artisan skill. At Artnow International, we incorporate a combination of traditional and contemporary techniques to craft the visions of our clients. Our client had a vision to infuse baroque grandeur with inspiration from the Port de Barcelona building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.... So, our team of dedicated sculptors have hand-sculpted the exterior statues, you can see in this video; to accentuate the magnificent architectural structure with fine art pieces. Presented is one of two roof top sculpture sections for a private residence. The oversized rooftop figurative sculptures were hand-crafted in clay, moulded, poured with resin, and completed with a specialist finish. Trompe l’oeil is French for to deceive the eye. It is a technique of painting artworks which are illusionary and often appear to be 3D. This technique was used a lot during the renaissance. The technique of Zellij - mosaic tile-work made from individually chiselled geometric tiles - was utilised to craft Islamic, geometric p...atterns that so beautifully complement the awe-inspiring interiors.
