Through a series of interviews with 3 to 5 year olds, this project was driven by a desire to truly work with children as co-creators and to give their voices and opinions value as experts on how to 'survive scary'.

08.01.2022 Created by artist Kathy Holowko with children aged 6-12 at ArtPlay as part of our 2018 New Ideas Lab, Wild City was a mini green metropolis that mapped ways for humans and animals to share a city. Children were visited by park rangers and ecology and sustainability experts from City of Melbourne, RMIT, Yarra River and Bird Life. They then brought animal-friendly landscapes to life by building and planting new habitats for the mini city.
