25.01.2022 Horses have super powers

24.01.2022 It's really simple don't send your horse to a trainer where you can't go and observe (so don't send them half way across the country). If you see a trainer using spurs (and heaven forbid 'roll-spurs'), then get them out of there, before the sun sets. Better still ask them before you buy into them don't be afraid or intimidated by the BIG name, they really aren't that high and mighty (only in their own minds). The really GREAT trainers don't do this sort of stuff. It's your ...choice, and it's your responsibility if you think that animal abuse is OK as long as you get a ribbon, then nothing I say will mean anything to you. This sort of treatment occurs in all disciplines from dressage, show hack to reining and camp drafting all of them have these assholes embedded as the 'go-to-trainer' it's your call because you are responsible for your horse. 23.01.2022 We remain open at the moment, however we have instigated a number of procedures to ensure physical distancing and good hygiene pre and post riding.

22.01.2022 and never forget it

22.01.2022 I thought that I was the only one who called them squirrels never mind. Some good advice.

22.01.2022 Excellent! Do you have a balanced seat and flexible elbows?

21.01.2022 A reminder to people who are worming their horses. Dont leave syringes lying around and clean up anything that horses spit out it can kill your dog or cat.

20.01.2022 Dont overheat their tendons.

19.01.2022 I thought that I was the only one who called them squercles never mind. Some good advice.

19.01.2022 Im looking for a girls first pony 13 to 14hh (ish). She is one of my stella students ( beautiful beginning riding, but loves her horsemanship and horse care just as much). This young girl deserves a lovely pony shes worked so hard and never wavered from her goal. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can everyone keep their eyes open for Ella. Shes a beginning rider, but she has her transitions, laterals and a great seat, but she still needs a horse with a bit of age and experience, so that she can enjoy her arena work and trail riding (and remain safe, not that riding horses is ever 100% safe but we try to minimise the risks). Please if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. The horse will be kept and supervised in an experienced horse home.

18.01.2022 Disgusting! When will the FEI uphold their own rules, regarding horse welfare? Please sign and share.

15.01.2022 An excellent opportunity

15.01.2022 Did you say Happy Mothers Day

12.01.2022 My Dermatologist is in total agreement however, where are the ladies

11.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS!!!! to Alyssa on her purchase of Docs Scarlet Lady (Scarlet). I purchased Scarlet some time ago as a five year old and used her for Vaulting, however what she really wanted was to have her own human, all to herself now shes found it with Alyssa who has fallen in love with this big redhead sensitive, big hearted, quirky, brave but quite selective about the humans that shell give her tick of approval. When you get her tick shell face anything, and do anything for you jump, hack, trails, trail obstacles, stock/farm work comps, whatever, but all off the seat and the legs (no need for curbs/shanks or spurs) anyway, Alyssa got the hugest TICK. They are going to be the most amazing team I think that Alyssa might want to move into the stables with her. Well done Alyssa, youve found your heart horse.

10.01.2022 WANTED Im looking for another school horse for older riders. Obviously soundness is a must, and after that its all about temperament and solid training foundations no youngsters or green horses. Should be around 15hh and 9+ years. Buy or Lease. Anyone who knows me will be able to vouch for the care that all my horses receive, whether they are working or retired. Please let me know if you have a horse or know of one that may be suitable (PM). Thanks in advance.

10.01.2022 Please remember this!

08.01.2022 If you read one social post today let this be it... These images show the helmet of top US Showjumper Laura Kraut after her recent fall. Lauras horse was weari...ng studs and as Laura landed her head was stepped on twice. Laura sustained injuries to her face but incredibly is back in the show ring today as her helmet was designed to withstand this kind of impact scenario, the PAS 015 (PAS 015:2011) standard, with a BSI Kitemark (this kitemark means the helmet is retested every year). If your helmet does not show this PAS 015 BSI Kitemark on the label, your helmet is not designed to withstand this level of crush or stud injury.* What could have been a much worse injury wasnt just prevented because she wore a helmet, but because she wore THE RIGHT helmet. You only get one head and one brain, protect it with the best. All Charles Owen helmets are made in Britain and tested in our in-house testing facility. Please share this post to protect your fellow riders from a future fatal accident and to raise awareness of the importance of the PAS 015 standard. Laura wore an Ayr8 on the day of her accident and is remarkably already back competing today. *SNELL safety standard also provides a very high level of protection for crush and stud injuries, you can find this in our 4STAR helmet. VG1 & ASTM do also provide a level of protection but not to the same level as PAS 015.

07.01.2022 Scarlet and Alyssa go from strength to strength shes now out on the trails in a bosal. Sally Barkworth and Alyssa surprised a family of pigs, and Rufus (whos never pigged in his life) jump straight onto a piglet (now theres one less pig in the bush). Meanwhile, both Scarlet and Mouse just stood there (ground tied) throughout the ruckus with the sow and piglets. Thumbs up for Sallys training. at Mini Mini Trail.

07.01.2022 Well bred great temperament.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to the US Appaloosa Horse Club for getting rid of the two year old ridden classes maybe the Quarter Horse people should follow their lead and stop starting horses as two year olds.

06.01.2022 Theres no place for steeplechase what a cruel and unforgiving road show. I wont call it a sport or a discipline, its neither.

05.01.2022 Will you be riding, when youre her age? To be fair, if I had a groom, a dedicated riding buddy, a beautiful Fell Pony and a very comfy lambswool seat, Ill do my best. What a lovely scene.

04.01.2022 HELLO EVERYONE! Please read the EA NSW update that I just posted (below), and Arundel Equestrians new procedures. At this point in time we will remain open, however we will be implementing the following procedures.... 1. Students will not be able to bring their own horses 2. Lessons will only be conducted on our school horses 3. Lessons will only be one-on-one, and safe distancing will be applied (I always use a microphone anyway) 4. No new students at the moment 5. No holiday camps or clinics 6. Adult students should drive themselves 7. Young students should only be driven by a family member/s and we would ask that drivers (and any passengers) stay in the car and watch the lesson from the vehicle 8. On arrival all students should wash their hands thoroughly, before they touch anything on the property 9. At the end of the lesson all students should wash their hands before leaving 10. If you arrive and the previous student has not left, please remain in your vehicle NO socialising 11. No bathroom facilities will be provided, so go before you come or use a tree (and wash your hands again) 12. Agisting horses and horses in for training can be ridden by prior arrangement please bring all your own grooming gear and follow the hand washing protocol 13. If any student is feeling unwell or has had a known contact with people who are in quarantine or mandatory self isolation PLEASE DO NOT COME This situation may change at short notice due to further restrictions require by the Federal or State Government. IMPORTANT: If you are uncomfortable about travelling (which we understand), PLEASE let me know straight away so that I can cancel all your future bookings. You will retain your remaining block bookings.

04.01.2022 Nothing more to add

03.01.2022 Sally Barkworth has done it again! This beautiful pony came in for retraining, but the real situation was that he had barely been started, and he was super anxious and incredibly scared he had zero trust and confidence in the big wide world or the humans that occupied it. This had nothing to do with the current owners. Raph is now a happy man, who can lead a trail and trots out in front and face all the obstacles put in his way. Happy Raph equals happy owners

03.01.2022 have seventeen so far can you help with 9, 10 and 17.

01.01.2022 Speaks for itself!
