24.01.2022 This is Rachel, the Canteen Convenor at Guardian Angels Primary School - Ashmore in QLD. She's smiling like that because Liza just hand delivered her 100% Club gift voucher Every term, we draw a winner from each state from our 100% Club members - they receive a $100 credit to spend with their distributor; just for ordering as they normally would do!... 100% Club members also get priority invites to special events - and Gold members receive a bonus 5,000 ASCA Rewards points each year! Speak to your friendly ASCA Area Manager today to find out more about the 100% Club and how to qualify - it's our way of saying "thank you" to our members! https://www.asca.com.au/content/contact-us

24.01.2022 Wonderful to see this recognition of one of our Charities Stewart House. THANK YOU to all our ASCA members - it's thanks to you that we are able to offer continuing support to children's charities like Stewart house and others.

24.01.2022 Time for a good news story!! Our SA/WA Canteen Award winners Ingle Farm East Primary School R-7 are thrilled with some of the improvements they've been able to make to their Canteen thanks to their winnings. Melissa tells us they've even had other local Canteen Managers come to check out what they've done!... A new range hood, cupboards, dishwasher and mixer means that things can just move that little bit more smoothly - well done again guys, you deserve it! Thanks again to all of our member schools that entered the awards last year for our 40th Anniversary. It's so nice to be able to give back to our members. And don't forget, just by being an ASCA member and buying through our preferred suppliers, you are contributing to the Charities we support each year as a not-for-profit membership association. You should ALL be very proud. This year, our Charities have needed the help MORE THAN EVER.

17.01.2022 Taking a lead from the ever-interesting Lady Gaga... September is #bekind month. And don't we all need it this year!! From September 1st to September 21st, the Campaign invites schools and colleges, corporate partners, non-profit partners, and all other participants to integrate kindness in their daily lives.... While our world is different this year, our mission has never been more important, said Cynthia Germanotta, co-founder and president of Born This Way Foundation. Simple acts of kindness will go a long way in a time when so many are searching for connection and hope. Kindness is powerful, and together we can create a movement to build a future that is kinder, braver, and more just for all. How will you help spread a little extra kindness this month?

15.01.2022 We just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU - to our DISTRIBUTORS, especially ones servicing near the state borders. We know you are facing some challenges with stock management and tight border controls - to our SUPPLIERS, who again are facing difficult times from the impacts of COVID-19 on staff, product availability and more... - to our MEMBERS for being patient and understanding during this time. Please continue to support your distributor and suppliers for the long term benefits that are so needed, perhaps even more so this year! - to our CHARITIES who are continuing to do such amazing work with vulnerable children in these times. Your work is SO valued and we are so proud to support you. We are behind you and know that you'll come through this THANK YOU!

13.01.2022 FOOTY FEVER? IN 2020? What. A. Year. ... As you head into Term 3, what are you doing to get the kids in the spirit this year? With SO much disruption it is certainly a challenging one - we'd love see see & hear what you are doing to celebrate Footy Fever in your school! Trying to keep a bit of normality for the kids and focusing on leisure is SO important in these times! What are you going to be up to? - Themed week? - Pie and Salad days? - Competitions? Let us know and help give some other schools some ideas too

13.01.2022 http:// FEEL GOOD FRIDAY \\ Throughout such a challenging year, we wanted to let our members know that ASCA is maintaining (and in some cases increasing) its current level of support for our chosen charities. These are AUSTRALIAN charities that support the education of disadvantaged children.... We were able to talk to our charities this week and let them know that, in some cases, we were even able to increase our annual donation. They have never been more needed NONE of this would be possible without YOUR support, so we want to say a big THANK YOU to all of our members. By choosing ASCA preferred suppliers to order your day-to-day goods, YOU are helping us support these much needed charities. https://www.asca.com.au/charities

10.01.2022 Media claims of Covid permanent damage to school canteens is exaggerated. This story was in the news last week. ASCA recognises that Covid has negatively impacted many school canteens, some of which were already under profit stress due to some overly restrictive state government health guidelines. However, there are many school canteens have managed to recover from the impact of Covid well, and the need for social distancing has led to many school canteens installing onli...ne ordering and cashless systems, which will also be great for productivity in the future. ASCA is, however, deeply concerned that canteen staff in school canteens *should be looked after by their P&C or school employers*. Comment below - we'd love to know what your school has been doing to support your Canteen and you might inspire others who need assistance and ideas! https://www.heraldsun.com.au//d06647b08dcfe5fd529a381247f7

06.01.2022 THANK YOU! ASCA would like to send a special thank you to our Gold Members of the ASCA 100% Club. Our Gold members are strong supporters of ASCA and our supplier partners, buying from the key ASCA suppliers. One of the benefits of being an ASCA 100% Club Gold member is that each year, ASCA awards these members 5,000 bonus reward points in our loyalty program, ASCA Rewards. ... Not only do ASCA 100% Club members get access to all the discounts or specials from these key suppliers, but they also greatly help ASCA increase its donations to the charities that we fund, supporting the education of disadvantaged children. This year the charities need ASCA’s help more than ever. The Coronavirus has not only meant that disadvantaged children need more help, but it also has led to some supporters being unable to maintain their level of donations. If you would like to find out how you can become an ASCA 100% Gold member then speak to your Area Manager, (or go to the ASCA website). https://www.asca.com.au/content/100-club

02.01.2022 One of our member schools making the most of their recent purchase from The Good Guys Commercial - click to read!

01.01.2022 Heart warmer: Thanks to our ASCA Rewards loyalty program, some of our member schools have bought not only stock for the Canteen with their rewards vouchers, but also raffle prizes to assist with fundraising! One school told us they used their Rewards points to claim vouchers from The Good Guys Commercial - and then donated these vouchers to struggling families. ... How lovely! We just love hearing these stories - not only does your purchasing through ASCA preferred suppliers help support our charities, there is so much more good you can do with a little initiative - well done!
