This leadership conference aims to empower young people to become more impactful leaders with resilience and grit. We would much appreciate it if you ...could help us to promote it in your networks. Conference Details: Date: Saturday 15 August 2020 Time: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM Cost: FREE but booking is essential at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/youth-leadership-conference This is an online conference via Zoom. 09.01.2022 "Our missionary families at Kudjip are looking for expressions of interest for a teaching position on their mission station in PNG. For visa reasons, the ideal candidate would be a resident of Australia, NZ or one of the Commonwealth nations. The position is guiding the education of the missionary kids through their Commonwealth curriculum. They are hoping to have someone in place by January 2021 If you are interested, please email Rachel at [email protected]. This position would be a volunteer missions position, with the ability to raise support from your home district."

06.01.2022 "Announcement concerning New Faculty Member at NTC Nazarene Theological College, Australia & New Zealand, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Dr Joseph Wood for the position of Lecturer in Theology and Church History as well as Dean of Students at NTC Brisbane. Joseph will be coming to Brisbane from the United Kingdom, where he has been a part of the Faculty of Nazarene Theological College, Manchester, since 2012. A native of Tennessee in the USA, Joseph moved t...o Manchester in September of 2006 to continue his education, having completed a BA in History and Political Science and MA in Theological Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University. His MA from NTC Manchester focused on the life and ministry of John Wesley. This interest in Wesley studies matured and developed into a desire to pursue a research degree (PhD) focusing on Wesley’s ecclesiology, which he completed in 2012. Joseph has held various roles at the college (Registrar, Lecturer, Research Supervisor, Study Abroad Coordinator, and Church Resource Coordinator), alongside ministry in the local church. Ordained as a Deacon in the Church of the Nazarene in March 2018, Joseph understands his calling to higher education in the Church is something that must always be grounded in local church ministry. Because of this, he has been involved in ministry teams in Manchester, Dewsbury, and most recently, Ashton-under-Lyne where he currently serves alongside his wife, Rev Kat Wood who is the lead pastor of the Ashton Church of the Nazarene. Joseph and Kat met at NTC in 2006 and married in 2009. They have two young children, Evelyn (8yrs) and Miriam (4yrs). The Wood family plan to move to Brisbane in June 2021. About the move, Joseph said, ‘We are honoured and very excited to join the NTC Brisbane community and the Australia North and West District. We are looking forward to all that God has in store for us as we join you in mission and ministry there.’ NTC Principal, Rev Dr Rob Fringer added, ‘Dr Wood will be a valuable addition to the NTC community. He brings experience, passion, and expertise that will be instrumental in moving NTC toward a brighter and lasting future where we continue to embody our mission of deepening faith, expanding knowledge, and inspiring Christlike action, so that God is glorified, the church is strengthened, and the world is transformed.’ Please join us in praying for the Woods as they make preparations for this big move. Let us also remember the communities of Nazarene Theological College - Manchester and Ashton Church of the Nazarene as they farewell this wonderful family while also commissioning and sending them to serve God and the Church here on the Church of the Nazarene Asia-Pacific." 05.01.2022 Here is a video message in which I try to address the most pressing issues with regards our current world crisis as they relate to us as a church. My apologies ...for the length overall and the length of the introduction. I probably spent more time explaining our recent days then I needed to but if you want to skip through to about the 2:57 mark you can get started on the message proper. This was done primarily for the ANWD but if Jaron Graham and Satish Manmothe want to share it on their district web site you are more than welcome as there are pieces that relate to us as a field as well. 03.01.2022 Sorry folks, apparently this was not availalbe live yesterday.

02.01.2022 Church, your prayer is appreciated for this disaster situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our missionary Gavin Fothergill reports - This is the result of at least three recent floods in eastern DRC. Besides the impact on our churches there (one pastor killed, 40 churches and schools destroyed, and over 100 homes lost), the impact on these communities have been disastrous. Added to the already dwindling supply of food thanks to COVID-19 shut downs, the floods are putting thousands of people at risk. Pray that the Church of the Nazarene can be salt and light, and faithfully represent the love of Christ in these times.
