25.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to Killian Kinsella for driving from SA today to shoe our little mate Bond. It’s been a long while since I’ve seen him looking so chuffed with himself! A 17 hour or so return trip is incomprehensible and I can’t say thank you enough! Thanks also to Andy for being here today to form a good plan for this special needs unicorn going forward. I’m so grateful to you both, and I’ve no doubt Bond is too! Time to lose that holiday bod buddy!!
24.01.2022 This is Mac, he is a 10 Year old Kelpie with one of the most common dental problems that we see here at Delatite Vets. Mac has fractured the large premolar in h...is upper jaw at the back of his mouth. This tooth is also known as a carnassial tooth. Damage to this large crunching tooth happens to dogs chewing bones and sticks. Many dogs with this type of damage may have very simple signs such as smelly breath, rubbing their faces, chewing food on the other side of their mouth or sometimes dropping food. Some dogs will continue to chew hard objects using the other side of their mouth. In Mac's case, we need to check to see how many roots are still present in the bone, this is done using an X ray, and the we extract the roots and clean out the pockets. If your dog is chewing on one side of their mouth, has smelly breath or rubs their face, book in for a free dental check during August at Delatite Veterinary Services

17.01.2022 We got to go eventing! Thanks Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials for having us, it was a great, all be it busy day! I took three very green horses with me who possessed a combined total of one 65 event (Benny in February) ... Super pleased with all 3 steeds. Benny had some big shoes to fill wearing Bonds rug for the weekend but he didn’t disappoint, doing a lovely test and jumping super to finish 6th. Demi actually scored better than Benny in the dressage despite her lack of balance (the gal can move!) but unfortunately toe tapped a rail to finish 10th after a magnificent Xc round - it definitely didn’t feel like her first! Lucy did a lovely test and made it over everything and through all the flags which was fantastic. She is going to be a lovely horse once she realises there are no monsters hiding under the jumps! Huge thanks to Stacey for having the skates on today, we did it! Thanks to my amazing sponsors: Jojubi Saddlery - it was so nice to bring the show sets back out! Benny stepped up to the 90 group and while I’m still pretty convinced these jumps are a fair bit bigger than 90 he did a super job and although we still have some work to do (when is that ever not the case?!) I feel like I’ve got a good handle on how to ride this horse going forward. I’m so pleased with my boy he really is the little engine that could and just keeps trying for me. Demi was HUG...ELY improved from last clinic, so much more rideable!! Unfortunately I didn’t get any video of her. 02.01.2022 Two weeks ago yesterday, the sunshine of my life, my little niece Poppy, got kicked in the forehead by one of my horses. After a terrifying few days we knew for... certain she would make a full recovery. Kids bounce back incredibly well and today you would never know anything has happened, although trying to keep her ‘resting’ for another couple of months is going to be tough! Poppy will definitely recover quicker than me, and my heart goes out to anyone who has experienced a situation like this and didn’t get the same prognosis. A huge thank you to the RCH, they are simply amazing
01.01.2022 1 year with my boy Benny. I always liked this horse, right from the first ride. Funny, because I look at videos and wonder why?! At times his progress has been frustratingly slow, for many reasons, but they included his body having issues, and his mind having scars. ... It doesn’t matter how slow you move though, as long as you keep moving. You’ll still get to where you want to go. Looking forward seeing where we are in another 12 months! 01.01.2022 Trying to get 3 boys smiling at one time be like... Mac is the king of grumpy face, but he’s smiling on the inside I’m sure! Warm and dry thanks to their Jojubi Saddlery 300g 1200D combos, with super comfy cottons underneath.
