23.01.2022 From the Kindy garden to our hungry tummies! We harvested, cleaned, chopped and cooked the potatoes from our Kindy vegetable garden. What a yummy lunch shared!



22.01.2022 We grew our own potatoes! The children enjoyed the process of caring for the garden, understanding the need to wait until the plants went brown which meant the potatoes were ready, digging them up, washing them, making them into chips and eating them! From garden to plate. Delicious!

22.01.2022 Families have collected take home packs, our online platform is up and running and were having fun playing and programming with smaller numbers of children attending Kindy. We also appeared on 7 news! Its been a big week!

We sang songs and learnt some of the language, made and tasted island scones and made our own island drums. We are thankful that we could have these experiences. Limited vacancies are available for 2019 in two of the four groups. These vacancies are for children who would be eligible to enter Prep in 2020. 09.01.2022 We found a baby brush turkey hiding under the trees! Baby brush turkeys are independent of their Mum and Dad once they hatch and this chick seems to have made its home in the kindy playground.

08.01.2022 We made pasta! After the eggs and flour combined, each child got a small piece of dough. They flattened it with their hands and then fed it through the pasta machine 3 times to stretch and then cut into fettuccine. Turning the handle while holding the dough required co-ordination and concentration. We ate the pasta for lunch it was delicious!

06.01.2022 We were so excited to have Geckoes Wildlife visit us this week! We found out about different Australian animals, where they live and what they eat. They all felt very different too! Did you know only the male frogs croak?!

03.01.2022 Last week we had the opportunity to visit Trevena Glen Farm and experience country life with many different animals. We were so lucky to also be able to have parents/caregivers join us. The bus ride there and back to kindy was also a highlight!
