12.01.2022 "IF YOUR DREAMS DON'T SCARE YOU THEY AREN'T BIG ENOUGH" Groomquest 2018 over for another year. This year was special I was qualifying for Groom Team Australia. I MADE IT.!!!!!... OMG so excited to say the least. I have tried so hard for years and have made one of my dreams come true!! I dont have many photos, here are the few I have Firstly thanking my wonderful dogs who let me groom them over the weekend they were all patient and so wonderful. I have so much help at home with my dogs they are a lot of effort every day every week but thanks Steve, Kristy, and Mum - Barbara, and Lesley you all have helped and supported me so much. My partner Carl comes to the comps and does a fab job helping me out all day and getting to and from the venues, Thank you so much xo. For Groom Team we had to enter 4 of the breed events to qualify, I entered 4 dogs, Any other Purebreed- Bichon, Ceasar. Terrier- Wire Fox, Harper. Gundog- American Cocker, Nipper. Poodle- Toy Poodle, Milli I had never completed a show Bichon trim. I completed Ceasar" groom and was like i hope its ok. OMG we place with a 2nd, so exciting. Our second Class was Terrier. Harper was wonderful she was so good on the table. We didnt place in this class but i was happy with her trim. Our third class was Gundog with Nippy, I thought I had messed up my trim and was looking around at all the other dogs and didnt expect a placing but we snagged third woohoo nipp star xoxo Then my little Milli Moo my toy poodle. This was her 2nd show and wow she was just so amazing. She tried her heart out. Any one who knows me knows i always wanted to win Poodle lol I was looking down at May and Tiarnes haircuts from where i was and thinking wow they have got this lol. The the bomb hit Mooie and i had jagged Poodle omg i just started crying i have tried so hard with this breed to make it perfect. I won the first in level three trophy, which was just wonderful anda huge surprise! Groom Team Australia was announced from points accumulated across two competitions. There are 4 competing positions in the team plus two reserves. I only had one point after the last competition so i had to groom my butt off this past weekend. I was called out as the third groomer in the team so i get to compete wooohooo. So darm happy all of my hard work has started to pay off And i made it OMG I am stoked i hope i can continue to improve and do everyone proud Thank you Les and Christine for a wonderful competition to all of the sponsors Andis, P2P Purina for Professionals, DGS Imports, The Grooming School, Artero, Pet Plan Insurance and AIPG, and FFire Photography for beautiful images.
