23.01.2022 BRISBANE SALSA & BACHATA DANCERS - Week 2 will take us back to the roots of Salsa with Israel Ortiz Castellanos who will conduct a workshop of Cuban Salsa and w...e will also take you back to the roots of Bachata with Cristina Aneiros who will conduct a workshop of Dominican Bachata. This Sunday we will not have the main function room but the room we do have has wooden floors , chandeliers and a great vibe. A evening of Brisbane top Latin Dance Instructors , who will be sharing their knowledge to Brisbane Dance students with 4 seperate workshops that will cater for dance styles such as Salsa , Bachata. Learn with these instructors who will take you to the next level in your favourite dance style. You will also have the opportunity to put everything you learnt in class to practice with a dance practica on beautiful wooden floors in the function rooms of Cloudland. NOTE: Both the Bachata and Salsa Workshops will have Salsa & Bachata played in the dance practica. No Bars will be open in function rooms , so you can bring your own water bottle or soft drinks. All students MUST participate in the workshops to be part of the dance practica. You must purchase tickets online to pre register. Limited numbers for each session. We will have 2 sessions during the evening with limited numbers for each session. 1st session 5.00pm-8.00pm 5.00pm-5.45pm Room 1 - SALSA with Israel Ortiz (60 people max) Dance Practica with instructors will follow from 5.45pm till 8.00pm. Quick breaks will happen every hour to give students the opportunity to sanitise , have a drink to rehydrate and ask teachers any questions or feedback regarding the class. 8.00pm-8.30pm will be the change over for the next session. Ask students to clear the room to prepare for next session. 2nd session 8.30pm-12.00am 8.30pm-9.15pm Room 1 - BACHATA with Crisitina Aneiros (60 people max) Dance Practica with instructors will follow from 9.15pm till 11.30pm. Quick breaks will happen every hour to give students the opportunity to sanitise , have a drink to rehydrate and ask teachers any questions or feedback regarding the class. 11.30pm-12.00am - Winding down period. There will be NO Bars open in these function rooms during classes and dance practica. Water will be provided for students to rehydrate during class. Regular cleaning of function room and hand sanitisers will be provided for the duration of classes and dance practica. All students must register at entry and must participate in workshops to be part of dance practica. Regular breaks for students to sanitise. Students can book for both sessions is they choose. 19.01.2022 Hi everybody we are still here after a long and difficult time in quarantine for COVID19 and with the intention to bring you joy, enthusiasm and hope, CHUKALE in an enormous effort and commitment from each of its members and with our special guest colleague Lazaro Ernesto Numa Pompa invited from Adelaide, we have been working to keep the Latin scene alive in Australia especially in the city of Brisbane. 10.01.2022 Hi Soul'sa fans. Despite the good news that the three day hard lockdown ends tonight, Soul'sa will not be on this Thursday 14th January. For the next 10 days, the QLD Government is not allowing dancing inside venues (except for weddings) and guests must remain seated whilst eating or drinking. We will keep you updated early next week when the next edition of Soul'sa will be. Can't wait to see you on the dance floor soon.

06.01.2022 Hi everyone, as is well known to all, Cloudland Soul’Sa night has been in operation for 10 years, providing Brisbane's best live entertainment in the Latin industry. Understanding and sensitising ourselves to the public health problem caused by COVID-19 and in response to social responsibility, we have decided to implement the following contingency plan: This Thursday 19th March, Cloudland will continue, however, the live performances of Chukale and Timbon bands, salsa/bachat...a music DJs and dance instructors will be temporarily postponed. Instead, we will be a change of entertainment in having two Djs playing 100% urban reggaeton from 9:00 pm till late. To all our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused, however, the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff have always been our number one priority. we hope that the situation will normalise as soon as possible and we will update you with any further developments as they arise.
