22.01.2022 Well we all know I don't do things by halves! Our Wednesday took a wild turn after I dislocated my thumb this morning! Thank you to everyone who was patient with our longer groom times and of course to my incredible team for handling the situation like absolutely pros! It's going to be a painful few days ahead and hopefully this is the last of the bad luck for 2020!

22.01.2022 No shows and late cancellations, let's talk about them. As a small business owner, the odds are already against me. I've had this salon for almost 3 years and have always tried to put myself in the customers position when these things happen. Since Tuesday last week we have had 8 dogs no show and 13 dogs cancel their appointment the day of it. I'm at a loss on what to do. ... $1725 lost with not enough time to fill appointments, with staff left to pay and bills to cover. We send our reminder texts at 10am the day before, we state that you need to let us know about any changes by 4pm that day, we have it very clearly written that we have fees that apply to both no shows and late cancellations. Any enforcement on these charges are met by bad reviews and clients not returning. It seems I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. This business means everything to me, my clients mean everything to me. But right now I'm feeling incredibly deflated. You wouldn't do this to your doctor, please stop doing it to me.

15.01.2022 CANCELLATION LIST We are booked out for services until we return on the 12th of Jan. However, we are having last minute cancellations and no shows like their is no tomorrow ... If you would like to be put on our cancellation list please text 0452 213 647 with your full name, your dog's name and breed and what service you'd like. If all this information isn't provided, you will not be put on our list. We have already managed to get two people off the list today and in for grooms.

While the doctors debate if I have a cast or splint, the one certain thing is that I won't be grooming for 2-4 weeks! 05.01.2022 We've put so much thought into our new range of retail stock. Not only do I personally recommend these products, I use them on my own dogs and of course your fur kids too! Retail is tricky no matter what the size of your business. Support your little local and buy a shampoo/brush/treat from us rather then the big guys!

05.01.2022 New year, New us, New pinned post! Old and new clients this is important. Please give this a quick read so that nothing comes as a shock to you this year! Booking Appointments... -When booking a NEW appointment please provide: Dogs name, age, breed and weight. As the human I need your First and last name, phone number and email. -We need your preference on days and times. Please note opening hours and days are: Tuesday-Friday 6am-6pm Saturday 7am-3pm The more information your provide the quicker we can get you booked in Appropriate times to make a booking -Please note this year I will only be taking bookings in business hours. Any messages left after 6pm will be followed up the following day. -On Mondays I will spend 1hr in the afternoon responding to messages. -The work mobile will be kept at work from now on Rescheduling -If you need to change your booking you are required to give minimum of 24hrs in business hours to ensure your spot can be filled. -If this becomes a regular habit you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit when booking. Cancellation and no shows -Cancelling on the same day as your appointment will have a 50% fee added to their next groom. This is not negotiable - No shows will have a 100% full service fee added to your next groom. Please show us some manners and let us know what is going on. Late drop off and pick up *my biggest pet peeve from 2018* -I am a solo groomer, your appointments are 1 on 1. If you arrive late, you push everyone back. This might not matter to you but it usually results in no lunch break for me which isn't fair. -Call us if you are running late that's all I ask -With the introduction of daycare if you require your dog to be dropped of before 8am (6am-8am) you will have a daycare charge of $5 per hour. -You have 1 hour after your text message or phone call to collect your pooch. Anytime after this will have a $5 per hour surcharge. -We close at 6pm, any time after 6pm that your dog is waiting you will be charge a fee. Daycare -With daycare involved this year it is important that all of the above is read. We encourage your dog to stay and have a play. If you do decide to extend your dogs day with us please call us and let us know. Fleas -Dogs with fleas will have $15 added to the bill. We take this very seriously and follow a lengthy procedure to ensure all dogs at the salon will not be infected. If you have made it this far, thank you. All other policies are on our NEW consent forms which every client will need to sign and date. These are not in place to be harsh. As my business grows so do my policies and procedures. Our first 6 months was a great success and we learnt many lesson, most of them the hard way. We look forward to 2019 with you all!

03.01.2022 HOUSE KEEPING With our summer season coming in hot, we feel it is important to stress a few points and ask for your cooperation. Facebook messages are no longer the best way to contact us. Upon messaging you will be directed to call the salon or follow the link to our descriptions, prices and online booking. Basically we have to be sitting down, on our phones to respond to you when currently we are elbows deep in shampoo. ... Phone calls will now be answered IF we are free to. We are no longer stopping grooms or baths to answer for safety reasons. I understand that this can be frustrating but we want all dogs on the table/bath to be our priority. Please leave a message or send a text and we will get back to you ASAP. On the topic of dogs being our priority, please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. We run a back to back schedule and schedule what we do around the next client arriving. If you are early, you are disrupting that schedule. Arrivals more then 5min early will be asked to come back closer to their appointment time. Please, please please, toilet your dog before bringing them into the salon. We have worked SO hard to get it beautiful and clean. We just ask that you spend 2min getting them to wee so they don't do it in our beautiful salon. Special requests need to be organised BEFORE you book your appointment. This includes early drop offs, late pick ups, dogs who require a quiet day, aggressive dogs etc. If you arrive on the day with a special request, we can no longer guarantee it not being a problem. Lastly, but most importantly (thank you if you have read this far) please notify us BEFORE the groom if your dog has aggression or behavioral problems. This includes disliking certain aspects of the groom (including nails, dryers, other dogs etc) Unfortunately we have had an increase in dogs coming into our salon, causing us some grief and owners responding with "oh yes, they don't like that" once we have reported back to them. We do not come to work to be injured, it is not apart of our job role and will no longer be tolerated. I hope you all love the new salon and can't wait to see you all soon!
