18.01.2022 Today Liz and Brina from Kirsty's Wildlife Sanctuary visited with 2 Eastern Grey Kangaroo joeys - Beau and Maisie, and Clementine the baby Brushtail Possum. Thank you ladies for supporting our students to learn about wildlife care and what to do if we find injured wildlife. We will share the Sanctuary page for families to follow.

18.01.2022 This week's tuckshop!

17.01.2022 Students in the 4/5/6 class spent time in the kitchen this morning making egg and lettuce sandwiches from freshly collected eggs, kindly donated by our 4 resident chooks, and harvested lettuce from our veggie patch. They made enough to share with students from all 3 classes. Yum!

17.01.2022 Despite not being able to hold an inter-school carnival, Ashwell students had their Ball Games competition today. A huge thankyou to Mrs Hines for planning and preparing at late notice. All teams were timed to be able to compete with other small schools from their own school carnivals as well, we can't wait to hear the results!

17.01.2022 Tuckshop helpers needed! We are needing helpers on Friday mornings in the tuckshop. If you can help between 9am & 11am please contact the school or the P & C.

This week’s tuckshop order form has a comments section, students and parents please leave any comments regarding tuckshop for 2020. Our tuckshop is run solely by volunteers without our lovely volunteer’s, tuckshop would not be available each week. Please show your appreciation with a kind message and any suggestion you may have or would like to see in 2021.

09.01.2022 4/5/6 are at it again! This time they have created salt dough turtles to complement the study they have been doing in Science about classifying living things. Salt dough is so simple to make and can be used to make a range of decorative items - 1c plain flour, 1/2c salt, 1/2c water. Mix to form a dough and bake until solid.

03.01.2022 Ashwell State School Presentation night is being held at school on Tuesday December 1, commencing at 5pm. Students are to be wearing full school uniform. Parents and families are asked to BYO chairs or rugs to sit (socially distanced) around the front undercover area to view presentations and class performances. All families will need to sign in as per COVID guidelines and ensure appropriate social distancing during the evening. If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home and not attend. Raffle tickets will be available from the P&C, along with sausage sizzle dinner at the conclusion of events. EFTPOS available. Can't wait to see everyone there!

03.01.2022 Ashwell State School staff and students participated in one minute silence during break today to honour those that have died or suffered for our country.

Due to the increase in students and orders, the school has a new Tuckshop order box and it is in a new location, right beside the rear access door to the admin building. See Owen placing his order.
