Women who received reflexology experienced shorter labor times and used less analgesia. In addition, reflexology showed a positive impact on postpartum depression, anxiety, urination and bowel movements. Reflexology work during pregnancy or delivery creates easier birthing / delivery: lessened use of analgesia; reduced duration of labor and labor pains, improvement in pr...imary inertia and retention of placenta. Chinese researchers have found reflexology to be beneficial for women throughout the child-bearing experience from conception to post-partum issues: improvement in fertility; lessened anxiety and depression for postpartum women; quicker recovery of gastrointestinal function following Cesarean section; quicker recovery of urinary system and gastrointestinal function for postpartum women; easier lactation. Research shows that reflexology benefits newborn infants as well. For premature infants, those who received reflexology showed Significant differences in sleep duration and total sleep time as well as better 7-day and 30-day weight gain in contrast to infants in the Control Group (breast feeding and premature infant care practices). 14.01.2022 Hi Everyone! A few weeks ago I went to Adelaide to study Cranio Sacral Therapy. It was one of seven seminars to get the diploma and in this first one we focused on MYOFASCIAL RELEASE. I am now looking for FOUR clients to participate in a case study. It will involve a 90 minute initial consultation and treatment every week for four weeks. Treatments will take place at either the Zen Den Dunsborough or Optimum Health in Busselton during my normal business hours. ... I am looking for anyone who has any of the following conditions: abdominal, pelvic, lumbar and menstrual pain & dysfunction rounded shoulders, tight pectoral muscles finger, wrist, elbow & shoulder dysfunction cervical & lumbar dysfunction scar tissue neck problems, whiplash structural problems ie: twisting of the pelvis, forward head posture recurring soft tissue injuries Myofascial release treatment is very relaxing and many clients fall asleep within minutes. It relaxes the central nervous system and allows the client to fall into that calm quiet place where natural healing occurs. The releasing of the fascia results in looseness of joints and muscles and allows the benefits of bodywork to be retained for a longer period of time.
