12.01.2022 ASIC has published statistics on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on business registrations. The statistics show that fewer companies were registered with ASIC in the first six months of 2020 compared to the first six months of 2019. In the same period, the number of newly registered business names increased. ASIC has also seen a change to the number of companies entering external administration and voluntarily deregistering.
