13.01.2022 Our upcoming exhibition is online. We require two photographs of each of the paintings submitted. The process doesnt need to be over-technical, but for those with access to a DSLR camera and Photoshop, this is how Steve Atkinson recommends you produce your images. They will be good enough to sell as prints if you follow this process.

13.01.2022 Natasha Bienieks finely detailed miniatures are inspired by the historical tradition of French and English 16th century miniature portraits. Her contemporary w...ork on diminutive panels, (often only 9 x 14cm), are her way of reviving the ancient tradition in a modern context. Although she began with small portraits, in recent years she has turned her eye to gardens, capturing some of Melbourne and Victorias well known public gardens. The small scale of her work draws the viewer closer to see the fine detail and inevitably creates an intimacy with the painting. I think for me the landscapes that I paint represent more than beauty and adornment, they hold a greater significance from a personal and social perspective, she said. Thanks so much for all your support!! The paintings in this series of still-lifes Im calling, Flights of Fancy, feature different items from the Seattle Art Museum collection. Little did I know back in January when I began the series, that the museum would temporarily close in March. The reopening date is still to be determined. Each one of these paintings holds a bit of the local institution that has inspired me so much over the years and its so strange that its currently inspiring me more than ever. Cant wait for the doors to open again.
