25.01.2022 On the whole a great idea. Downside will be when you forget to delete your subscriber information from the eSIM before selling your phone or similar https://www.smh.com.au//esim-explained-why-apple-s-move-co

24.01.2022 As predicted, the U.S. Net Neutrality repeal wasn't going to be as easy as the FCC had hoped. Good on all those who oppose #netneutrality https://arstechnica.com//california-senate-approves-net-/

24.01.2022 I recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S8+. After several months of learning and use I can absolutely say it was an "upgrade". So when you see Apple's latest releases you would be forgiven for assuming they're taking the mickey, as well as taking consumers along for the ride. An article yesterday said that where Apple were once the innovators, they are now the also-rans. Today's releases only cement that observation https://www.news.com.au///6c3d8b5f2914f44de4a79674173f24ea

22.01.2022 Do any of you out there absolutely feel your PC has been lagging and getting slower over time, and even though you defrag, clear unwanted programs, delete internet history etc, it still doesn't seem to make a difference? I have been researching this for a while and I think I am fairly certain of a common problem caused by Windows itself (Win 7, 8.1 etc) that may well be the culprit. I have tested it repeatedly and found my fix absolutely brings PC speeds back to what we would expect of their individual specs notwithstanding any other problems. Contact me if you want me to check yours out - you can call me on 0414 995 150 or e-mail me and we'll see what we can do :)

22.01.2022 People who are experiencing slow NBN are being encouraged to ask their service providers for refunds by the consumer watchdog. https://www.smh.com.au//got-slow-nbn-ask-for-a-refund-cons

22.01.2022 A little win in the ongoing net neutrality saga: https://arstechnica.com//nations-toughest-net-neutrality/

21.01.2022 Interesting article. Keyless technology is becoming a staple in certain parts of our lives these days, and whilst its pros can't be argued, there are always the cons to be considered- especially since everyone is still learning what they specifically are https://www.facebook.com/esetau/videos/1204132749730588/

18.01.2022 Net Neutrality ends today in the US. It may affect your internet experience somewhere along the line soon. However, the fight for #netneutrality continues. https://www.engadget.com/20//11/net-neutrality-ends-today/

16.01.2022 Android users please note:

15.01.2022 Really important story to keep an eye on. Basically the US corporations are trying to once-again (this has come up and been defeated before) "own the Internet" thus limiting what information etc you might have access to unless you use their service. The implications and consequences are massive. There has been huge opposition to this in the past, but as always, the corporations won't stop trying til they get their way. #netneutrality https://www.engadget.com//fcc-chairman-reveals-plan-to-ki/

15.01.2022 Have you or someone you know been a victim of scams using Western Union as a transfer of funds? This story may be of great interest to you- but hurry, you only have til February 12 to make a claim for possible compensation: http://www.smh.com.au//thousands-of-australian-scam-victim

11.01.2022 Bound to happen, but good thing these sorts of incidents aren't common. If you use CCleaner it is advised you upgrade to the latest version. https://lifehacker.com/ccleaner-s-32-bit-app-was-infected-h

10.01.2022 5G technology is on our doorsteps. Offering data speeds that blow things like NBN and 4G out of the water, it seems set to be the next global standard for wireless data transfer. However, to work at its optimal speeds, 5G towers need to be placed in LOS (line of sight), which means there will be a 1000-fold increase in the number of towers around us. Now anyone who knows anything about these technologies knows these towers pump put frequencies which are literally on the rad...iation band, and bombard their surrounds, whether flora, fauna, or humans, with (small/ tested/ approved) amounts of radiation. And so here's the already studied, documented, and reported problem with 5G: its higher radiation, due to its own design, plus the fact there is a ridiculous increase in towers pumping it out; and reports are coming back saying 5G is causing problems for localised fauna including bees, and also causing reported health issues with humans in 5G roll-out areas. Some areas have even banned 5G or withdrawn it until further studies are conducted. So there is absolutely an unprecedented concern with this new mobile technology- and yet it is being readied for global deployment despite the concerns around it. I'm not convinced, and right now I'm not a fan of 5G- especially since for literally most users, it won't make SQUAT difference for their digital experience. Below is a link to a petition I urge you to sign which asks that 5G roll-out be postponed until further detailed studies re its impacts are done and further evidence is available re any detrimental consequences on wildlife or human health. 5G sounds nice, but not if it comes with nasty side-effects. https://www.change.org/p/stop-the-5g-rollout-in-australia-u

04.01.2022 If this was a PC issue, Mac users would be rolling their eyes and smirking, saying "that's why we don't use PC". Turns out it's a Mac issue, and highlights once-again why you shouldn't believe something is better purely based on hype or on the ill-researched opinions of others. Mac users look out for a fix from Apple (hopefully soon). http://www.news.com.au//n/10000a4cd9e86defbaadd3ee643c1dce

04.01.2022 Laptop Killer? No its not. And for less money you can buy a stunning yoga-style laptop with SSD tech and the (now) excellent Windows 10. Typical Apple hype. https://www.news.com.au///535a9af3ef66dd70d50bec42c0cc9bd0

03.01.2022 Android users please note (again)...

02.01.2022 Very rarely happens- but a couple of scam iOS apps snuck through on App Store recently. Note lest you have them on your device.

01.01.2022 Will be an interesting case to watch. In the meantime Apple, in their backpedalling, will be offering cheaper replacement iPhone batteries, so come late Jan 2018 if your battery is not holding the charge it once did go get it replaced for a lot less and keep your iPhone 6 or higher going http://www.smh.com.au//apple-to-offer-discounts-on-new-iph
