09.01.2022 Until now it has been almost impossible to bond PTFE (Teflon) to steel without using expensive and time consuming pre-treatments like chemical etching. But when we had to do it, we decided to give Weicon Contact Primer for Polyolefins a test and were amazed by what this invisible, brush-on coating can do. It alters the surface structure of materials such as PTFE, enabling them to bond with other materials using more readily available glues such as Weicon Contact VA 1401. We used it on both mild steel and stainless steel and were so impressed with the test results (and the money we will now save!) that we made this video so that you can see them too!

For this example we have used nitrile o-ring cord bonded with Weicon VA 8406 Contact Cyanoacrylate adhesive which is good for use on almost all rubbers (except silicone).
