First year apprentices and Cert 2 trainees are encouraged to apply. Experience is preferred but not necessary. You will be trained in salon, in all aspects of hairdressing, including cutting, colouring, perming, extensions, and styling. You will be required to; be , and dedicated to learning and performing tasks with attention to detail have a warm and personality, with excellent customer service skills, and listen to clients and instructions from seniors be able to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks, be on time and be , and be well presented work Tuesday-Saturdays, including evenings, and the lead up to Christmas and New Year be and work unsupervised once trained, and work well in a team environment be willing to accept constructive criticism and critique This apprenticeship is a 3 year commitment, with a minimum age of 16. --- Position available to start immediately --- If you want to be part of a creative team of stylists, we welcome you to hand in your resume to the staff in salon. 16.01.2022 So you've got a new hair colour. You've spent hundreds on getting it. Now you need to maintain it. Home maintenance not only helps your colour last longer, but it helps the condition of your hair and helps the stylist with your next appointment. ; use salon professional products at home. They may be more expensive, but they last longer and work better than supermarket products. They also help the stylist pick the appropriate colour with better and more predict...able results. ; don't wash your hair too often. 1-3 a week is enough. If your hair gets oily, do two shampoos, with conditioner only on your mids and ends. The less often you wash it, the better the condition and colour will be. If you want your colour to last longer, especially with vivid bright or pastel colours, only use cool to lukewarm water on your hair. If you need a treatment or mask, pick one that helps with colour protection. ; put leave in products in your hair, especially if you blowdry and straighten your hair. Products will help protect your hair against heat, UV rays, and other factors. Try to blowdry and straighten as little as possible, as heat contributes to colour fading. ; yes, buying online may be cheaper, but products online are often expired, diluted, and not the same quality as products in the salon. Plus, support local small business! Our products have a high turnover so they are always fresh. Also, homemade treatments might make your hair feel nice, but they aren't doing much else. Coconut oil in particular, is a cooking oil, and if you use a straightener, this will essentially cook your hair, and create a build up. Use only products designed for hair. ; be honest with your stylist. If you've changed products, been swimming, let your hairdresser know, as these things can help us determine how your hair may react with colour. See more

13.01.2022 Today's big colour correction by Hayley Nikita wanted to take her hair back to her natural colour. So we lifted her ends, and applied a colour to tone them to as close as her natural shade as possible. We left her natural regrowth untouched, to use as a guide, and we managed to get her ends to match perfectly

12.01.2022 Emily will be extending her hours leading up to Christmas. She will now be in the salon Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10-2, Thursdays 9-8, Friday 9-3 and Saturday 830-1pm.... With Christmas eve landing on a Thursday this year, we have decided to have our late night trading on Wednesday the 23rd of December instead of Thursday the 24th of December. Our opening hours on Wednesday 23rd will be 9am-8pm. We will be closed from 25th December to the 28th December. We will be back on Tuesday the 29th through to the 31st, again with late night trading on the Wednesday 30th instead of Thursday 31st. Then closed from the 1st of January, and back in salon on January 5th. There are already limited availabilities through December, so if you haven't secured your appointment already, book in soon to avoid disappointment!

11.01.2022 Ice blonde correction with & without flash This blondie came in with a small regrowth, some damaged snapped areas, and a brassy orange band, with an uneven hair cut. Hayley had to lift the regrowth, and carefully lift up the brassy areas without further damage, cleanse out some overtoned ends, and blend the snapped short areas into face shaping. Big job but always worth it in the end!
