21.01.2022 At a fundamental level we believe progress happens by helping people find the truth and that is our objective. We can only hope that consumers like you and us value truth over lies with the effect being progress. Kevin Rudd was attempting to progress Australian telecommunications from the archaic installations of Telstra / Telecoms / GPO of the 1960s to a level where we could communicate with other technologically advanced countries around the world in an effort to improve o...ur economy. Ultimately this should also improve our standard of living. His idea would have been accomplished if certain parts of the network design had not been changed by the current government. Since we all have to pay for this catastrophe I will explain why. Since, until recently, Telstra owned all distribution copper cables in the ground and in the air the idea was to bypass this part of our network. You may appreciate that this was a good idea given that the pictures below are very common if one was to randomly look in any pit located anywhere in Australia. On the other hand you may also appreciate that within a Network where Fibre distribution is implemented between the end users and the DSLAMS, Data travels at light speed. This is what we were promised, yet we are still obliged to pay for a vastly different Network which will not achieve the required parameters in the original plan. I know that doing the job right the first time, saves time and money in achieving the goal and I think we all can agree that progress is the way to go so we are left with a very big expensive problem. Unfortunately I can not explain why supposedly licenced trained technicians go about repairing the faults below by opening the insulated cables outside the waterproof joints housings. Not long ago when Telstra employed linesman I do not think this work would have been acceptable to anyone, nevertheless we are witnessing a point within the industry where the rule makers are breaking their own rules. This has happened because of a misinterpretation of responsibility. The contractor ultimately has to accept the responsibility for this work however if our only avenue to stop this from happening is the governing body, responsible for ensuring this does not happen, then why does it happen? The decision to use the last legs of our failing existing network to deliver a product of progress is a paradox and also a catastrophic expensive error which we will all have to pay for. When will our politicians be able to see past the term of their government? See more

21.01.2022 This type of shameful work is occurring in many new building projects today. The person responsible has no licence and no idea about communications. How did they get the project? When builders get control of a new project, the electricians they use tell the builders that they are capable of doing communications hence we get an MDF which is not an MDF at all. Just have a look at how the terminated cables from the apartments are terminated in the middle of the Krone Modules. Unbelievable!

13.01.2022 Thank you to all the people who liked our pages. Communications in Australia is not exactly new millennium. We have buildings finishing every day in which all the communications is installed by people who have no licence and no right to do the work. In addition to this we have a governing body The ACMA who do not check the work. So when I connect people from overseas and they ask me why is this so I haveto explain why. Have any question about any communications we give you an...swers and not the bull. Robert Rathswohl MGR>
