18.01.2022 TEMPORARY Theatre Closure The Athenaeum Theatre announces the cancellation or postponement of all scheduled performances commencing Monday 16th March 2020 until Tuesday 14th April 2020. All performances of Senior Moments scheduled for this week are cancelled as is the performance of Mama Mia on 20th March 2020. Performances of The Gruffalo’s Child originally scheduled from Saturday 28th March 2020 are being rescheduled from 18th September 2020.... Many of the Comedy Festival Events will be rescheduled and dates will be advised shortly. Ticketek have advised The Athenaeum Theatre that they will contact all ticket holders to provide refunds and/or rescheduling your attendance. We encourage you to visit our website for updates. We ask that ticket holders do not come to the Theatre as it will be closed to the public. The decision to close the Theatre is based on advice issued by the Health Authorities in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. The Theatre will maintain communication with all employees, artists and hirers as the situation develops.
