24.01.2022 Tuesday, January 15, 2018 saw another dream come one step closer to realisation when Steph Cooke MP, the Member for Cootamundra, announced that the Athenium Theatre, through Junee Shire Council, has been granted $626,130 from the New South Wales Government's Regional Growth Environment and Tourism Fund to install a commercial kitchen, additional storage, car spaces, signage and information for visitors at the theatre. 11.01.2022 Prime 7 News Riverina reports during their November 7, 2018 edition that the Athenium Theatre, Junee had received $420,000 "Cool Cash" through the Stronger Country Communities Fund to see a new heating and cooling system installed in the Theatre -- just in time for the Theatre's 90th birthday. 08.01.2022 Junee Shire came together on Saturday, August 18, 2018 to raise funds for local resident, Ron Hindmarsh and his family. Ron was in a motorcycle accident that has left him hospitalised.
