23.01.2022 Malabar project. Detail demolition of the current structure. Asbestos sheeting was found sandwiched above the plasterboard ceilings. This is common, as it is cheaper just to cover it and not to remove. ... The sheeting was sprayed with PVA adhesive to ensure all fibres are bonded, prior to be removed and disposed of at a licensed facility. Common to coastal homes, the existing wall ties are corroded. This will be remeadiated before construction begins.

13.01.2022 Glass pool wall finally in! After 2 previous aborted attempts due to glass defects, today we successfully installed 3 laminated 40mm thick panels. Access was extremely tight, with the 4liftn crane truck squeezing in with mm to spare.

12.01.2022 Taking shape. The home has been dressed in Vic ash timber cladding. Pvc, double glazed windows installed. ... Airtight Pro Clima intelligent wrap competed. This ensures that the home is air tight, with every detail sealed. To ensure the air tightness, a Blower door test was completed, with the home being tested under vacuum and pressure of 50kpa. The air loses were then measured, with a target of N value of 3. We acheived 1.7, a great result. The home is super insulated and this very quite. To further audit my teams work, a thermal imaging camera was used to identify any possible air leaks, again passing with flying colours.

02.01.2022 Project update The current circumstances are proving difficult for everybody, but for the building industry, outs business as usual (sort of). Social distancing is bring practised, as well as regular hand washing.... Stay well everybody. Tamarama Pool is being prepared to be poured on Wednesday. The garage had been cement rendered ready for final finishes. Services (water, gas, power, comms) located, ready for the removal of the existing concrete to be replaced with landscaping.
