In order to comply with current restrictions, Team Placements will be held in small groups over several days. Bookings can only be made online via TryBooking: www.trybooking.com/BMXHL After you've paid your tryout fee, you'll receive an email within approx 24 hours with your timeslot allocation. These will be based on age, level, etc. Teams will be announced on November 26th with training for our new teams to commence on November 28th! 17.01.2022 In memory of Jessica Lewis Last week the world lost a kind and beautiful soul. Jess was a dearly loved member of our club through our early years, first with LTU then with Atomic. Jess was such a vibrant, warm and compassionate person inside and out. She has left a lasting impression on the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Heaven has certainly gained an angel. Sending all of our love to Jodi, Paul & Sam for the loss of their beautiful daughter & siste...r. We can't comprehend the pain you're feeling right now but we hope it eases a little for you to know just how loved Jess was by all who knew her. Our thoughts are with you today and all the days that follow. Rest easy Jess, forever young For anyone who was unaware, Jess' family are holding a service tomorrow, details for which are below. A small private service to celebrate Jessica’s life is being held on Monday 20 July at 10.30am. Due to COVID restrictions, we are at this stage unable to do this the way Jessica would have liked and undoubtedly deserved. 11.01.2022 Right now we should be on a plane, a bit more than halfway across the Pacific Ocean. 10 hours down, 6 hours to go crammed in our aeroplane seats. Whilst our legs might have started to ache, our minds would be brimming with excitement. Because today was the day that we were meant to travel to The Cheerleading Worlds, iconically held at DisneyWorld, Orlando, FL. However the world had other plans. Travel is restricted, countries around the world have closed their borders.... All sports have been cancelled. Concerts have been cancelled. Festivals have been cancelled. Conferences have been cancelled. Gyms, cinemas, restaurants & majority of shops are closed. Self distancing measures in place. Tape lines the floor to help distance shoppers 1.5m from each other. Limits on food items- ie pasta 2 bags, milk 2 bottles, 2 bread, 2 or 1 toilet paper. Shop shelves empty. Toilet paper and tissue shortages. Parks and playgrounds are closed. Some beaches are closed. They say don’t visit your family or friends. Schools are turning to online classrooms where possible. Not homeschooling, but school from home. Worldwide shortages of masks, gowns, and gloves for our frontline workers. Shortages of respirators for the critically ill. Full ICU units. Governments have closed state borders all over the country and anyone entering from overseas must isolate for 14 days. Fines are given for breaking the rules. People wearing masks and gloves outside. We are told to distance from each other. Thousands affected, some critically ill, many recovered but also some deaths. This is the Novel Coronavirus Covid 19 Pandemic. Declared March 11, 2020. Why, you ask, do we write this post? Right now it feels like our dreams have been shattered. But once we’re allowed, together we’ll pick up right where we left off and next year we will continue this crazy journey to The Cheerleading Worlds, 2021 edition. We will remember the hard times we have gone through, the struggles we have overcome and the progress we have made as a team.
