25.01.2022 "Leadership is about making sure everyone knows where they fit in the puzzle. Do they have what they need? Have I removed the roadblocks? Then champion them and help them succeed."Jamie Leach

24.01.2022 We're very excited to announce a special Alpha Transform collaboration with Jason Malouin and Petra Zink... That Leadership Look! We're teaming up to help you upgrade how you present yourself as a professional and a leader online. Firstly, on March 12 you'll get a professional headshot taken by Jason, Australia's best portrait photographer. He'll coach you to get the best leadership look for you on the day. You can then use that photo online or with email and internal communi...cation tools to ensure you're making the right first impressions. Petra is Australia's leading personal and corporate brand expert, and she has led the way in developing the LinkedIn for Leaders playbook which you will receive as part of registering for this event. The playbook will guide you through how to present yourself professionally online, with a focus on LinkedIn. Together this is a powerful package to present yourself the way you feel at your best as a leader and is a great platform to build relationships on top of. This is an amazing value package too, so jump in now before it sells out! http://atrans.co/headshot

23.01.2022 It's no longer how much do you know? It's how little do you need to know! How do I reach out and grab the knowledge and skills I need just in time so that I'm effective?Peter Evans-Greenwood http://ageek.it/37

22.01.2022 Such a fun and fascinating chat with Dr Tim Patston and Peter Evans-Greenwood about the future of work, workers and the workplace. Should everyone learn to code? What do we need to do to prepare for the digital future? Tune in to find out :) http://ageek.it/37

22.01.2022 Just released on the Alpha Geek Podcast... Andrew speaks with Jamie Leach, CEO of Open Data Australia Including the future of data and tech, and Jamie's approach to career and leadership which she has distilled so it can work across boundaries and industries https://ageek.it/36

19.01.2022 Andrew Ramsden was chosen as the Third Party Expert for Advance Queensland’s TWiG (Testing Within Government) program for 2018. My role was to coach and mentor the SME innovators (entrepreneurs) and departments involved in lean innovation, Agile, commercialisation and help with the translation between gov-speak and small business speak. Everyone involved was really great to work with and open to having a bit of fun, as you can see. (Being relaxed and having fun is an imp...ortant and often overlooked catalyst for innovation). The teams involved got some really wonderful results too. Super-impressive given it was only 12 weeks of sprints. Well done to C14, Digital Craftsmen, Neighbourlytics and EconomX! #smallbusiness #government #mentoring #innovation

15.01.2022 Andrew Low in his element on day 2 of the Alpha Transform Leadership Accelerator. We explored our passion and purpose archetypes, self-limiting beliefs and crafted our own Purpose Statement. What a ride! Thank you Andrew Low!

15.01.2022 If you consider when mobile phone use exceeded 90% of the population. These were very very recent, and to expect us to keep up within that pace of change was sort of a ridiculous expectationDr Tim Patston http://ageek.it/37 #leadership #cio #digital #digitaltechnology #insight #quote #quoteoftheday

13.01.2022 I had the wonderful opportunity to chair the Government Data Conference this year. The speakers were excellent and the delegates were really switched on. I met some genuinely inspirational people during the networking opportunities (Shout out to Jamie Leach, Deb Anton, Andrew Lizzio and Paul Goiak to name a few). If you get a chance to come along next year I’d highly recommend it.

09.01.2022 Did you know Koalas have been declared functionally extinct? Every small step counts... Raising awareness, collecting donations, reducing waste, using keep cups for coffee... What can you do with your team to make a difference? https://www.businessinsider.com.au/koalas-functionally-exti

08.01.2022 "You are exactly who you are meant to be"Jamie Leach

08.01.2022 Cameron Aggs is a psychologist and mindfulness and EQ guru and we were honoured to have him join us again for our 2018 Leadership Accelerator. Here he is taking us through how to manage stress and emotions in real-time, and how to help other manage theirs. He also shared with us how to build rapport and influence stakeholders even during difficult conversations. Can’t wait to work with him again. Thank you Cam!

07.01.2022 Michael Urness helped us bring the 2018 Leadership Accelerator home with Day 4 focused on Persuasion. We learned about the ACT Conversation model (which currently can only be accessed through the Accelerator) and how to apply it to be more influential in every meeting, presentation or critical negotiation. Thank you Michael!

07.01.2022 A digital native is familiar with technology because they've grown up with it, but it doesn't mean they've actually got much of a clue about how to use itPeter Evans-Greenwood http://ageek.it/37

07.01.2022 "Your title doesn't mean as much as achieving the goals you want to achieve"Jamie Leach

06.01.2022 Happy Easter! Have you been feeling the stress to do all of the things prior to Easter? I have. Luckily a friend gave it to me straight you’re overthinking again man!... Feeling inspired to adopt a new motto/mindset to focus on... Life is a DANCE (not a game of chess or wrestling match). So remember over Easter to pause, relax, enjoy and get funky!

03.01.2022 One of the mistakes is to say: It's a skills gap, therefore we need to cut back the curriculum and provide more time for skillsDr Tim Patston http://ageek.it/37

03.01.2022 It’s easy to underestimate the value of data. Which is pretty mind-blowing really when you consider how much of our modern world is under-pinned by data, and how much data is generated every second! So why do we undervalue it? I think because it’s easy to take for granted. It’s just kinda... there. Like running water, or electricity, we only notice it when it cuts out or goes awry. But boy, like water and electricity, when it goes away or awry, what a nightmare!! There’s huge... value for business and government agencies in getting comfortable with data concepts. Having strategy, culture and plans around your data, and then processes in place to ensure quality and reliability. But it’s a fast-moving landscape, and it can all become overwhelming. So we're super excited to see the launch of ODA with Jamie Leach still at the helm to pick up where ODI left off and take it to the next level. Jamie will make an appearance on the Alpha Geek Podcast in coming weeks also, so stay tuned for that. If you understand the significance data will play in our future or you want to learn more, come along to the launch events in Brisbane or Sydney. It will be a really great event. See you there! https://www.opendataaustralia.org/news-events
