25.01.2022 COVID UPDATE - 30th July 2020 Good evening everyone. After today’s announcements regarding Geelong, it is important that all students and parents wear a mask to the tennis courts and home from the tennis courts for lessons starting from next Monday. (Masks won’t have to be worn whilst training) Children under 12 are exempt or anyone with medical clearance, however it is still recommended that these children wear a mask if possible. As the situation continues to change day t...o day I will be keeping up to date with information from the Department of Human Health Services and guidelines from Tennis Victoria and Tennis Australia, and inform you if any changes need to be made to the coaching program. At this stage, coaching is still going ahead as per usual from next week, other then the mask situation mentioned above. Remember if you have any symptoms, have been in close contact with someone with symptoms or for any other reason related such as your school is in lockdown for a case, please inform me and don’t come to tennis. All lessons missed this term due to sickness or school shutdowns and other Covid related circumstances will be made up or credited to next term. Please take care and reach out if you need someone to talk to. Thankyou, Julian Arnold

24.01.2022 Dear tennis families, As you are all most likely aware, the COVID 19 situation in Melbourne’s metro suburbs has escalated in the last few days with the whole of Metro forced back into Stage 3 restrictions. This is lucky for our region and tennis club at Grovedale where things are remaining the same as they have been the past few weeks with such a low number of cases. The tricky part is, that I am currently still living on the Mornington Peninsula until our settlement goes thr...ough on our new place (21st August). I have been on the phone with both Tennis Victoria and the Department of Human Health Services (DHHS) since the announcement from Dan Andrews to seek some clarification on what I can and can’t do. Both DHHS and Tennis Victoria agree that it is ok for me to travel to Grovedale to coach (as this is for work), so term 3 tennis coaching will still be going ahead! This is awesome news for me and all my students who are looking forward to getting started as of Monday next week. To give some extra re-assurance, the tennis clubs committee and I agree that it would be a good idea to get myself tested prior to next Monday. So I am going to go and get myself tested for COVID 19 in the next day or 2 to make sure I’m taking all precautionary measures. I understand that some families may be nervous about a coach coming from a locked down suburb to coach their kids. I just want you all to know that I am taking this very seriously and will not be coaching if I have any symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. I have also downloaded the COVID Safe app which I encourage you all to do also. There will also be measures taking place on court such as sanitising stations, separate entry and exit points to courts, social distancing and limited use of equipment. Please, if you have any worries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call me. Other then that, I am super excited to see you all next week and start my new job as the head coach at Grovedale Tennis Club. Kindest Regards and stay safe. 24.01.2022 Hi all, Term 3 tennis coaching structure is finally sorted!!!!! Be on the lookout for a phone call or email in the next few days with information on the lesson day and time I have placed you or your child/children in. From there you will need to either confirm the day and time of your lesson or let me know if it doesn't suit you. If it doesn't suit, I most likely have another option for you, but also praying that there's not too many changes needed as the structure looks pret...ty good to me. If you haven't received an enrolment form yet, please send me an email and I will send one back to you. Please share this information with anyone you may know that has had tennis lessons in the past at Grovedale Tennis Club. Looking forward to getting started in a few weeks. Term 3 begins Monday 13th July. Regards, JA

20.01.2022 Please click the link and read all the information carefully. Fill out the form at the bottom if you agree and are planning on playing competition.

17.01.2022 Good evening everyone, Firstly I would like to thank everyone for such a warm welcoming in the Grovedale Tennis Club family over the past 3 weeks! I have really enjoyed getting to know all of you as well as play my part in the continuation of your tennis journeys. For some of you I’m just a small part of an already long tennis journey and for some I’m coming in at the start. This afternoon on the 2nd August 2020, premier Dan Andrews made a bunch of announcements to further r...estrictions for Victorians in relation to COVID-19. The restrictions that were made for metro Melbourne mean that where I am currently based is now in stage 4 lockdown. The restrictions for Geelong have been moved to stage 3. These latest restrictions effect the Attack Tennis Academy and my business at the Grovedale Tennis Club. What does this mean for tennis coaching? Regretfully, I have decided to suspend all forms of tennis coaching effective immediate until further notice. This includes private, group, squad and cardio tennis lessons. Even if private lessons are allowed, it is a logistical nightmare trying to find accomodation and travelling between checkpoints each week. The good news is, my wife and I have purchased a house and settlement is only 3 weeks away. (21st August). The plan is to spend the next 3 weeks packing and getting ready for the big move. Once we have relocated, I will review the restrictions at that time for Geelong and see whether any forms of tennis coaching are allowed. As I’ve mentioned all along, any lessons that have been paid for and missed for this term will be credited to a future date when lessons are allowed to resume. Finally, and most importantly, please look after yourselves and your family! Be kind to each other! This isn’t forever, but as a tennis coach and a good Australian citizen, it is my responsibility to make sure that whatever decisions I make are for the healthy, safety and well-being of the community that I am directly involved with. Stay safe and please know that I can’t wait to get back on court with you all again at some point in the not to distant future! Yours sincerely, Julian Arnold.

13.01.2022 Hi everyone! Obviously, the Grovedale Tennis Club has announced tonight the appointment of me as the head coach from term 3. I just wanted to thank everyone that has liked my page so far and those who have sent me messages welcoming me to the club. I feel really special right now! From what I can tell, Grovedale Tennis Club is awesome and I'm really looking forward to joining you guys and meeting you all soon.... Over the next few weeks my wife Paige and I have to try and sell our house on the Mornington Peninsula, find a place to buy near Grovey, relocate, set up my coaching business including making contact with all of you, all whilst looking after Blake who you would have seen in my video. So please be patient with me. I will be doing my best to work really hard to ensure a smooth transition. As a family, we can't wait to settle in and start working with you all. See you all soon!

04.01.2022 Hi guys, If you are following our page but haven't joined our community group, here is the link. This is where all the action happens!
