Theyre now sitting in the Factory Seconds freezer on sale at $5.15 for a pack of two pizza bases (normally $8.60). 25.01.2022 In goods news for everyone who missed out last time, weve made another lot of Chicken & Vegie Rolls. Theyre a bit different - more chicken and more chicken flavour courtesy of cooking the vegies in chicken stock. Head Pastry Yak Fil thinks that they still taste too much like a pastie, so wed love to hear your feedback. Available in the Factory Outlet until sold out: - Individual 160g rolls @ $2.30 each or 5 for $10; - Party sized rolls (55g in a pack of six) @ $6 a p...ack. Wheat, gluten, dairy and nut free. 22.01.2022 Were gearing up to start making Hot Cross Buns (It probably makes us a bit late to the party by modern standards, but we had to get Christmas out of the way first)! Silly Yaks Hot Cross Buns will be available from 1st February 2020 right through until Easter. Youll be able to purchase them direct from our Factory Outlet Store (2 Mercier St, Coburg North) and from selected retail outlets Australia-wide. Those of you who are familiar with our Hot Cross Buns will know that i...ts always difficult for us to persuade retailers (and especially Interstate distributors) to carry seasonal items, so we would strongly encourage you to pre-order from your preferred retailer. If you dont have a local retailer of Silly Yaks products, speak with your local IGA or independent food store. Ritchies IGAs have our Hot Cross Buns listed on their system, so any Ritchies store can order them in for you. 22.01.2022 Like most food manufacturers, we generate quite a lot of packaging waste. One of more significant waste products are the plastic buckets in which we purchase bulk fetta cheese. These food grade buckets cannot be reused, due to food safety regulations. Recently, weve been giving some of them away to Tonyi the Worm - in this video she shows you how to make a DIY home worm tower to divert your home food waste from landfill. Its a great solution for us, and for the environment, and were really pleased to be have found a useful home for some of these buckets! #sillyyaks #reducereuserecycle

18.01.2022 An information update for those of you visiting us at our Factory Outlet Store... We are taking the current situation very seriously and have implemented a number of new measures to help to keep you safe and to safeguard the health of our staff members when they are serving you. First and foremost, we ask that if you are feeling even a little unwell, have any cold or flu symptoms, or are in home isolation, please consider our health, your own and that of the wider community ...and do not visit us! We are now regularly cleaning and sanitising the door handles, freezer doors, bench spaces, etc., in the Factory Outlet to ensure that they are free of infection. Staff are washing their hands frequently. We ask that you avoid touching staff members and maintain a best practice "social distance" of at least 1 meter at all times. We regret that in the current circumstances we do not believe that it is advisable for us to allow any outsiders access to our facilities beyond the reception area. Unfortunately, this includes access to our toilet facilities. 17.01.2022 CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP! 6" Ham & Pineapple Pizzas for $1 each! Honestly, theyre not great, but they are cheap and we need to clear them. We have a whole bunch of these little Ham & Pineapple pizzas - the cheese is pure mozzarella, which is too bland, and its on top of the ham and pineapple when it should really have been mixed with the ham. Overall, you might need to add a bit of tasty cheese or something else to spice it up a bit, but at $1.00 each they could be worth a lo...ok.
