22.01.2022 If I could be a colour today, it would be summer lake! It’s a little bit overcast here, but the weather is still It’s calming And that’s what shades of blue do to me, they calm my soul! ... My house is just filled with shades of blue! The best thing about mineral paint - YOU DON’T NEED TO WAX or seal with any type of top coat, it’s all inbuilt - unlike a chalk paint! It has a beautiful smooth satin finish, amazing adhesion, coverage and durability and developed to withstand the harsh Australian Climate! 21.01.2022 BOOM Finished for the week This is my second cupboard finished in Plum Crush It’s such a sweet, sweet colour, I go to choose a colour and I’m always drawn to it! ... I painted the back panelling in Oceanbed such an amazing deep blue, then stencilled in Bronze to make a statement in an Aztec inspired stencil! 21.01.2022 I get asked so often what my favourite colour is - to ask me what my favourite colour is like asking me the impossible! I don’t just see colours, I feel colours sounds crazy haha! I live in colour, it speaks my mood and my energy! ... Im only a furniture artist, but to stare at a piece and let my mind get lost in ideas, to recreate and make something unique and beautiful makes my heart sing! To dance with my paintbrush and to get lost in my work is a feeling like no other! Our passion is our strength, I started painting when I was flat broke, I could barely rub two dollars together, I couldn’t afford to make my babies nursery beautiful so I did it myself, though it’s something I always new I’d be good at and I just kept going! If you feel like there’s something out there that you’re supposed to be doing, if you have a passion for it, stop wishing and just do it! Sounds cliche but #truth #paintingmydaysaway

13.01.2022 Heeeyyyyyyy !!! So I have been very, very, very absent I’m really, really, really crap at multitasking and have been hard at work working on a new product I’m about to launch! ... If somebody would like to come prioritise, organise my life I’d be forever grateful, perhaps you know of somebody I could follow or to read to help me In this department ... I’m not even joking I’ve been converting my shed into a boho palace, ready for a photo shoot in the coming weeks for my new thang Don’t worry I’ll still be painting, it’s just been hard to find the time until now!! Soooo did you know you can paint fabric ?? I scored these beauties for $10 at an op shop the other day! Simply spray the fabric with water, this makes it easier to apply the paint and will save you on paint aswell! Paint the fabric first is my tip!! Then simply wax! These are finished in bayside and smoke , I’ve used black wax for definition and then clear wax over the fabric after painting!! Note - when using black wax I always use clear wax first , and if you mess up with your black wax simply apply some clear wax over top and rub off!! 05.01.2022 #workinprogress I’ve stuffed up two pieces today, but that’s ok , it’s annoying but it’s ok haha the best thing is you can just start again I started off using some old fusion I had in coral , and then bloody ran out ... So I decided to make my own using post box , tango and rustic white ! It’s now reminding me off a tequila sunrise There’s totally somebody out there that’s going to want a tequila sunrise hutch right haha
