25.01.2022 The Standing Committee on Communication and the Arts has a current inquiry into 'creative and cultural institutions and industries'. If you are in the entertainment industry, please make you voice heard. https://www.aph.gov.au//Committe/House/Communications/Arts

22.01.2022 Mark McGowan announced today that COVID Event Plans will provide festival and concert promoters with an official channel to get event approval for gatherings larger than 500 people. This is great news for our industry and cements the possibility of fantastic upcoming events such as Breakfest, Good Day Sunshine festival, and Wine Machine going ahead as planned. Great outcome!

22.01.2022 Our General Manager will be having a chat just after 3pm on ABC radio about the ongoing effects of the pandemic on the events industry and how this fallout may affect the summer ahead. Tune in!

21.01.2022 Thank you for your support, Patrick!

18.01.2022 Massive news indeed! After 15 months of reduced capacity we are finally returning to pre-COVID capabilities for venues and events. Now we just need a meaningful event cancellation insurance policy and/or consistent and predictable policy on border restrictions and we should be ready to get this show back on the road.

15.01.2022 An important update from our friends at Perth Festival regarding this week’s shows.

15.01.2022 What a fantastic time we had last week being back in the Perth Concert Hall for Birds of Tokyo with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. We provided an Array Processed d&b Y-Series system with SL-Sub. FOH mix was done by WASO engineer Guy Smith on a Digico SD5 while the monitor system consisted of an SD12 with Shure PSM1000 and d&b E3s for orchestra monitors. Lighting provided by Alex at GSD Productions who also provided these great photos.

12.01.2022 Hi friends, Here at Audio Technik we think that good audio is the most essential service of all. However, with a lockdown in effect we need to do the right thing and stay home. As such, the office will be closed this week. If you have any queries, you can catch us as always at [email protected] Stay safe, The AT family.

10.01.2022 Our local events industry needs our support. A number of iconic Perth buildings and locations, including Elizabeth Quay, Western Australian Academy of Performi...ng Arts (WAAPA), and Yagan Square, will light up red tonight to support the local events industry. Businesses such as Matrix Productions Australia need our support right now and the global Light It In Red campaign is one small way we can do that.

05.01.2022 The last 12 months have been tough for a lot of Australians, but for those in the arts and entertainment sector, it got even tougher without proper support from... the Federal Government. They were ignored by JobKeeper, so I spoke out in Parliament on behalf of the arts industry, calling for support. A special shoutout too toAudio Technik, Astor Theatre Perth, West Australian Ballet, Awesome Arts, Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company,MEAA, Fringe World Festival, Barking Gecko Theatre, RTRFM 92.1, Chamber of Arts and Culture - Western Australia and Aurelio Costarella.

03.01.2022 And here is a write up on Castaway Festival which we delivered alongside Showscreens and Statewide Staging a few weeks back.

02.01.2022 It was fantastic to have a visit from our federal member Patrick Gorman MP today. We gave him a tour of the warehouse and discussed the uphill battle still facing production houses such as ourselves in returning to work after Covid-19. Patrick is a member of the standing committee on communication and the arts. They currently have an inquiry into Australia's creative and cultural industries and institutions and we highly recommend you fill out their survey about the continued impact of Covid-19 on the arts community. (The link is in the comments) Thank you Patrick for your dedication and enthusiasm for the West Australian arts community.
