24.01.2022 Fridays early morning crew enjoy a windy row.



24.01.2022 This mornings 6 am row ,down the river to the river mouth, then back up through the sticks towards Molloy Island .

20.01.2022 Our first 6am rowing before work team. We loved Sarah’s three stages. Row hard.. Swim... Then straight into her work uniform.... We considered dropping Pam off at one of her Augusta House Boats with cleaning gear in tow!! Our team came in , then two more teams went out rowing at 8.30. ‘Come and have a go at rowing ‘ dates will be organised at our committee meeting on Tuesday. These will take place within the next couple of weeks so come and join in the fun. See more



20.01.2022 What an achievement. Today we sea trialled our two beautiful hand built St Ayles Skiffs , Zoom and The Colour Patch. They rowed like a dream. A few more sea trials to go before we have our official launch celebration on Sunday 27 th September in front of The Colour Patch in Augusta.

14.01.2022 The boom box accompanied our rowers this morning. Thank you Julie for the Christmas Carol fun. The drummer boy was a big hit!!

14.01.2022 We had a few more sea trials for the skiffs this morning. A beautiful still day and perfect for sorting out minor adjustments that need to be made on the oar sleeves and collars. This is exactly why we are trialling the boats before our official launch, parade and celebration on the 27 th September.

12.01.2022 We had some keen early morning rowers on Christmas Day. Great fun to dress up and then to have Courtney and Donna supply us with wonderful coffee when we landed at Ellis Street Jetty.

11.01.2022 Today’s 6 am rowing team rowed upriver to Molloy Island Ferry and back. Just under 14 km. Outward row was against the current and the wind which took 1hr 5 mins then the return row in 40 mins with the wind and current behind us. A fantastic effort crew, newly named as the Turbo Team

09.01.2022 This mornings dolphin Big Twenty challenge. The race was on and I’m not sure who had the most fun.. our crew or the dolphins.

08.01.2022 The 6am Augusta rowers and 8.30 am rowers enjoyed time on the water today.

07.01.2022 Our two beautiful boats have now been launched. What a fabulous weekend . Thank you to all those who have supported this community project from the beginning. Come and join the Augusta Rowers. We are now on the water.

06.01.2022 Our fashion swap fundraising event at the Augusta Hotel on Sunday was a huge success. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the fun. We are aiming to keep fundraising to be able to purchase the correct oars for our skiffs and this event really helped towards that goal.

05.01.2022 Shane and Jane from Franklin paid us a visit on New Year’s Day and enjoyed rather a challenging very windy row with us. It was great to meet them both and talk about skiffs, oars and everything rowing.

05.01.2022 Well the baling bucket works thank you Linda Kent. We worked our early birds ladies team hard today, a fabulous strong row with lots of fun too. The rush at the end to all change into more suitable attire for work is always amusing!
